Good point, esp since you got them so long ago Daryl. THey could even be those ones that have both saline and silicone in them. Either way Patty brings up an excellent issue. THat is that you have had those things for along time, longer than many for sure, they are needing to be replaced or removed soon anyhow. Most implants are not realy meant to be in for more than 10 years, so it isn't a bad idea to get them out, even just for that reason alone for sure.

Daryl honey I know you will feel better once they are gone, I have no doubt in my mind that the implants are making you sick. Look at me, I am proof you get better, would I even be thinking of a tummy tuck if I was not obviously better! I mean shoot two years ago I thought I was going to die I was so sick, here I am thinking about tummy tucks, no wonder my dear husband thinks I am high or something ha ha ha.

You hang in there Daryl, think hard about your next step and then take it.

hugs

Daryl,

There is one more thing you need to consider when getting your breast implants out.

Do you KNOW absolutely for SURE they are saline?

I have heard several times where women thought they had gotten saline, particularly those women who got them when silicone gel were still in their prime, found out upon removal that their so called "saline" implants were actually silicone gel. In this case, if there is any chance of rupture or leakage you would want to make sure you are going to a doctor who is going to absolutely do their best to remove the implants and all surrounding tissue.

I don't mean to scare you or make you worry unneccessarily, but I do want you to be aware of the possible scenarios, especially if you are not absolutely certain (meaning you still have the paperwork) of what kind of implants are inside of you.

Hi Daryl!

It was good talking to you last night (or should I say this morning-lol). Don't worry, we'll get you fixed and feeling better soon. Don't be discouraged about anything--where there's a will, there's a way.

I'll talk to e tonight and give her more info on the situation. She'll help you with your pain management questions too.

I look forward to seeing you in Denver or wherever. Meanwhile, hang in there! Better days are ahead.

Hugs,

-Marie

I had this feeling of being sort of drunk too! It was awful. It was really hard to describe actually. Kinda like being drunk, but kinda like just having a messed up head, really spacey. Man, am I glad those days are over! Daryl, hang in there girl, it will get better. It sucks that it takes so much time, but my brain fog was really the last thing to go.

Gosh I know what you mean about feeling like you have three drinks in you all the time. Ya know I used to explain that feeling to others esp Dr's and most people would look at me like I was nuts! Anyhow that was how it felt though, like I was drunk without the alcohol. In fact I even decided that I might as well go out and get drunk a few times I did, just to see what happened and ya know what, I felt better drunk, ha ha because at least I new why I felt weird. Anyhow that feeling does go away, at least it did for me now. The only thing lately that I notice is my hair is thinner. I cannot for the life of me figure out what the hell is going on with my hair. At first I thought it was my imagination, I always had a thick head of hair, and throughout my illness when I had my implants, I always shed tons of it, but I never worried too much since it always seemed so thick. I am on thryoid meds however and wonder if they have anything to do with it? Oh well, I am upping my supplements and going to possibly add cytomel to my armour thryoid. I feel good though, really really good otherwise and to be honest Daryl I would not worry too much right now, it is way too soon to expect that your going to be better, with or without the supplements I just don't believe anyone is ever better within the first few weeks, so try not to be upset, I know that is really hard, but trust me ok. Just do the best you can with your nutrition and try to get out and take walks and just go about your life, try hard to push yourself to do things, that is what will help you get through this tough time. You will get better in time, I am sure of it, it just might be awhile, like always says she had them in her for so many years, you have to expect it will take a bit to get over it all too.
