Guest guest
, Does that include being tickled? Or must the laughter be from hearing or thinking of or seeing or reading something funny? I don't laugh at a lot of things others find funny. For instance, if I am listening to a comedian, and he says a " potty " word, I don't laugh. In fact, I don't laugh at a lot of the routines comics do. I don't think Steve is funny at all, for instance. Well, anyway, my question is: Does laughter from tickling count or not? Could this information you have shared cause some health practitioners to start treating their clients with " tickle therapy? " Or would the stress from being tickled counteract any health benefits received from it? Thank you very much. PS - I do not think the info you post about various things smokers can take that allow them to keep smoking is beneficial. Are you a smoker, and that's why you post such things? > > * Humor beats disease, researchers find: > Scientists are reporting what they call most direct evidence yet that > ability to laugh saves lives. > http://www.world-science.net/othernews/061212_humor.htm > > And on a related topic . . . > > * Why laughter is contagious: > You can catch it without asking for it, or even necessarily wanting it. > Now, scientists say they have an idea of why. > http://www.world-science.net/othernews/061212_laugh.htm >
Guest guest
When my son was four years old he asked me an intriguing question, " Daddy, is it possible to say something so funny that you never stop laughing? " I told him that he might have just succeeded. I would not mind my tax dollars going into humor research. The world could use a lot more of it.
