Hi everyone,

Wow, things sure do happen on this group! I got back from my trip to Illinois and find that there is alot of people getting gnarly on here, sheesh, what's up with that, guys? I am so sorry to see it....okay, everyone take a step back, take a deep breath and let your thoughts turn to positive stuff, okay? We all want to be here to find a friend we can relate to and be encouraged, as well as find answers. It is a mistake to jump to negative conclusions without politely trying to find out what the intention is in a post first. I think alot of things get posted as knee jerk reactions to something that was said. Knee jerk reactions aren't usually very well put! Well, anyway, let's go onward and upward...

I don't have a clue what happened with Dr. Kolb and her membership, but I do know that sometimes has glitches and even I have been shown to not be a member of this group (funny, since I started it), but you just have to play with it until the site recognizes you as a member again. I signed in with the address as well, so if my usual one doesn't work, I can still access the site. If you do things like empty your history, reformat your computer, empty your cookies or other such things, may not recognize you and you have to remind them who you are. Not anything big usually, you just need to be aware of it and not get too wigged out about it if doesn't recognize you as a member. It happens.

Anyway, I had a very nice trip, saw lots of family, including my grandmother who is 92 years old. She keeps kicking....she supposedly has cancer of the bile ducts, but so far, she has not shown any signs of any type of suffering in over a year, so maybe it is a benign tumor! I was just so happy to be able to see her again, probably for the last time. I don't get back there very often.

I have been feeling great, I am so happy to say. Hardly any brain fog ever, no pain, no fatigue, no joint aches, no more troubling symptoms at all. No effects from the flying. I just get a tad of fog around my period, but that goes away pretty quickly. I indulged in some fudge as well as a Turtle sundae (twice!) when my parents treated me to Culver's Family Restaurants there in the midwest, and other goodies, and I had no bad effects from eating crappy stuff. Either it is the Biothroid I am taking that is making a difference, or I am just getting better and better, so I hope those of you who are still recovering from your implant illness can be encouraged. I feel normal in almost every way, and feel alive again! Exercise is such an important key in recovery. (Still getting in my walks.) I watch my fat intake, and I do think if I ate a diet filled with stuff like lots of red meats, gravies, cream sauces, sugar and junk food, I wouldn't feel as good.

Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know I am back and doing great...and very much looking forward to the holiday season (yikes, already!) and having a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas with family. Daryl, I was ecstatic to hear that your explant was scheduled, but so disappointed to realize you worked for National and lost your benefits--what horrible timing to befall you, your poor girl! I am so thankful for the generosity, kindness and encouragement you are receiving from e, Marie and others in your quest to remove your implants. I am praying that this all works out for you, that there will be financial relief, and that you experience a great degree of healing with the implants gone. I can't wait for you to be done with that part of it, and onto a real chance at recovery. Did you start any type of detox diet?

Let's all be thankful in our hearts for all who have helped us along the way of our ordeals. I am thankful so much for so many people, especially Ilena Rosenthal for her dedication to us and her group. It has not been an easy journey for ANY of us--we are all travelling this difficult path. Some of us have been alone for years until we stumbled upon help, and without this internet connection, who knows where we would be???? I have no doubt that we will continue to grow as a group that encourages each other because the need is so great. There is a tremendous amount of suffering going on. So, let's be gentle with each other and remember how alone some of us have felt, and have an attitude of gratitude for the fact that the internet has been our source of connection, and we have found each other, and we are here for each other, regardless of our differences. When all is said and done, kindness is what counts.

I missed you guys--and I apologize if I don't get back to you on some of the letters. I hope nobody takes my silence as a sign that I am not interested in what is going on. That is certainly not the case, but my schedule just prevents me from spending the time that I need to answering letters. The older I get, the more complicated my life becomes! My thoughts are still with each of you and I wish everyone of you the best. e, I am glad to hear you are back in Denver, where your heart is. God bless everyone.

Love,

Patty

dear patty

I am so glad you are back safe and sound. It was so good to hear that you enjoyed your trip and that your grandmother is doing well! Welcome back. It is good to hear a voice of calm in the midst of this chaos. I hope that all take your words to heart and that this terrible division comes to an end and we all get back to the business of helping and not hurting each other. I would like to think this site is a safe haven. We will never know how many people might visit this website, read what is currently taking place, and decide this isn't a place where they can be understood and cared about. And I know that everyone's first priority here is helping others who are in the same terrible predicament we have found ourselves in. May God bless all who come to this site and may you have a blessed thanksgiving season. This Thanksgiving one thing I am thankful for is this site and the support here that I found when I thought I was so sick I was going to die. Let's let anger and hurt feelings go and just remember what we are thankful for.

God's Blessings to all, kathy

I hope you heed Patty's message and not tear into me just because I don't agree with your doctor. This hurt me very badly as I've always posted nice things to you.I don't know why you and your friends hate me so, but I don't really give a damn anymore either.

Good luck to all of you.
