Guest guest
Hey Patty since you brought this up with this email I was wondering what you think about the book I read about the cyclist Lance Armstrong? Do you know his story about his battle with testicular cancer and how he cured it with the traditional chemo therapy (he had advanced stage cancer and was ready to die) but he came back after chemo to win the tour de france I think 3 times! Anyhow I know you hate chemo, (lord knows so do I) after working in oncology I was really sure it hurt more than it helped, but his story sure made me wonder. I doubt he would be alive today had he not taken such extreme medications. Anyhow just curious what you think about that ? Do you think he was wrong to take the chemo? I have to admit I am not sure I could have gone through what he did! Anyhow interesting ! ----- Original Message ----- From: ~*Patty*~ Sent: Monday, November 18, 2002 9:20 AM Subject: Quotes from the wise Some remedies are worse than the disease.Publilius Syrus (fl. Guest guest
, I don't know much about him and his story, so I can't say he was wrong to take chemo. I just know I would never take it. Perhaps his state of health due to all the exercise he gets helped him out; lord knows most people aren't that into exercise, so the toxic chemicals from the chemo probably linger longer in them. I am glad he was a success story. I know many who aren't.
