Subject : saline breast implants Date : Wed, 20 Nov 2002 10:18:24 EST I am concerned about my saline implants that were implanted 6 years ago. I now have increasingly worsening dermatitus hepetiformis (auotimmune disease from celiac disease) and rashes for no reason. Any advice? I would like to be a part of your support group. Guest guest
OH my gosh...Dr. Londe was my PS who put in mine too! I have asked Dr. Londe about health problems connected to breast implants and he assures me that he has not seen any in his patients and thinks it is way over blown! I feel like sending him my list of problems! I would definitely not go to him for explanting!! I have huge scars from my implant procedure. I am in the process of looking for a dr. near here who could properly remove my implants. (i live in Wildwood). I have an appointment with Dr. Koo who I here is very good, and she does explants. I can let you know about her...if you find anyone else...let me know. I am ...I have saline implants from 1997, and have dermatitis herpetiformis and celiac disease and odd other health complaints...including extreme chemical sensitivites and allergies to lots of stuff...all manifesting in the past few years since the implants. Dont Believe Londe!! I hate him...he so totally covered up all the problems with implants. I want these things out of me!! Lucky you...you had some boobs to begin with....if I get these out, I will be flat as a pancake. That is a bummmer...but after you read some of the stuff you will find through these emails and websites, you may feel like me...that you cant get those poisonous things out of you fast enough! Stay in touch! Have a Great Day! -
Guest guest
Please write to at her listed address if you can offer some encouragement. Patty Sent: Saturday, November 23, 2002 2:31 PM Subject: Please welcome , so glad you wrote. I am currently out of the country ... I am forwarding your very important request to some women who have support groups and lists ... I think you will find that your experiences mirror thousands of other women. Best of luck, Ilena http://www.BreastImplantAwareness.org From : Waynechrisherman@... Subject : breast implants Date : Sat, 23 Nov 2002 14:38:03 EST ilena, can you help me? I had breast augmentation in 1989, 360 c.c. silicone-gel implants, McGann Manufacture. In Feb. 2001 I experienced Capsular Contracture, hardening of the right breast. I went back to Dr. Alan Londe, MD, who has been doing breast augmentation for over 25 yrs. He squeezed the implant to free it. It is still hard; he graded it a Baker's 2 at the time. For the past 1 yr. 9 mo. I have experienced so many medical problems, I feel like I'm on a roller coster going to so many different doctors. My neck, shoulders, arms, bones, joints, muscles hurt something terribly. My regular Dr. has sent me to an orthopedic surgeon for my neck, a different orthopedic surgeon for my shoulders (frozen right shoulder), another orthopedic surgeon for my back, a specialist for a urinary tract infection, physical therapy for my stiff neck, arms, shoulders, etc. None of these dr.'s converse wit h each other. None find anything wrong, mri's, ex-rays, cat scan, etc. Recently my MD thought I was trying to pass a kidney stone. I was in excruciating pain & told to go to the hospital emergency room. Ended up having female out patient surgery for my lower back pains. My major complaint is that my bones hurt so bad. Now I have yet another appointment with a Rhuematologist in Dec. I asked Dr. Londe if my medical problems are related to the implants, which he assured me several times they are not. I was going to have the implants replaced recently, until the one paper i had to fill out had about 20 questions related to arthritis, lupus, etc. If I answered yes to any questions, I wouldn't be able to have the implants replaced. Well the red flag went up because I've asked Dr. Londe several times over the past 1 yr. 9 mo. if my arthritis-like symptoms were due to the implants, which he now graded as a Baker's grade 3, to which he still claims has no connection to the implan ts. I'm tired of going to so many doctors, I'm tired of all these doctors not knowing anything about breast implants. Why don't they take the time to familiarize themselves with problems associated with implants when a patient tries to tell them the implants are the suspected problem! I live in Hillsboro, Mo., right next to St. Louis. Please tell me what doctor I should be going to, if my problems are indeed from the implants, other patients who have experienced the same problems as myself, what can be expected if I have the implants removed, which I will probably do, what I can expect my breasts to look like after the removal. I went from a c cup to a d cup. Dr. Londe suggested doing a partial uplift if I have the implants removed. How do I know if he removes the implants the proper way, etc. Please help me to know what route to take. Thank you. Herman
