I tried the baking soda and water for my heartburn and it worked

better than the OTC stuff and its a lot cheaper too. Just thought I

would let you know in case anyone else suffers heartburn.

Anne,

My boyfriend finds that peppermint tea, and chammomile tea really

work well to soothe his heartburn. Sometimes, I'll slip in a bit of

licorice, slippery elm or marshmallow just to soothe the irritated

tissues. (much like a " throat coat " tea).

Glad the bakingsoda worked!

Becareful with upset stomachs and soda though...

It either settles the stomach, or UP it'll come. TRUST me on this one.

:)

a 1-3 tsp undistilled apple cider vinegar in a couple ounces of water

sweetened with a little honey if you need it will help increase acid

production in the stomach and get rid of heartburn. I used it during my

pregnancy with both kids if I ever had heartburn
