Guest guest
Hi Avis, Has she tried marjuana? Doctors rarely suggest it, but it does work in difficult cases. Sent: April-01-09 2:27 PM Subject: [ ] Blood clots Hi, all - I have a serious problem with my cousin, Dona. A short time ago, I asked about Aranesp side effects and was able to speak with their direct phone. They did not feel her sudden extreme balance problem (and nausea) could be their product. They mailed her some material which stated if there were balance problems and nausea, could possibly by blood clots. About a week ago, she had sudden pain in legs and an ultrasound was done. She does have them in legs and says she more or less screams all night. Her onc said she could take Darvon (prescribed to her long ago in Houston). But there was no other pain med available if on Gleevec. Today she is about passing out from pain. She called MDACC but they said entirely up to her local Dr. It seems to me I have read some of your emails that indicated you were on something stronger than Darvon (PDR says for mild to moderate pain.) She was sent to ER from the imaging dept. for a blood-thinner shot and has had a few days of those. Mon. she began Coumadin, but there has been no relief from her nights spent screaming. Btw, Houston said on phone she absolutely could not do the Coumadin. Yesterday, however, they would not state any painkillers as they leave all meds to local Drs. (!) Anyway, she wants me to ask whether any of you have had blood clots or on any stronger-than-Darvon med. Her local onc is totally worthless, and has been since 2000, but not much choice in Tucson. Thank you for " listening.
