Guest guest
2 weeks is sort of normal... I know alot who do it in two weeks., however, the longer you leave a tincture the stronger it gets.. especially if you're using 80 or 100 proof vodka vs everclear..(everclear at 190 proof will work faster than 80 or 100 proof vodka). also take into account roots vs. leaves and flowers... Is that because of the type of herbs? 2 parts red raspberry2 parts catnip1 part squawvine1 part cramp bark1 part black cohosh I've always thought that 4-6 weeks was the *standard* time to tincture. That being said, a friend tinctures only two weeks.Lynn--- In health , Suzanne > > Combine herbs in glass container and cover with mixture of alcohol and pure water (Use strong alcohol--pure grain is best). Store in cool, dry space for two weeks, shaking once or twice daily.
