Hi ,

Sharyn and Pam I think would be the "experts" in this area on dogs... I would go to a raw diet.... do a search on "Barf" diets.... also try Aloe & Calendula like a tea and spray down... these two herbs should give some relief. Could this be an allergy?

What is she feeding him?

Hello Friends,Another animal question, I hope that it's okay to post this...My mother called me in tears tonight, her best pal, her dog (a cockerspaniel) has now undergone 1000 dollars worth of steriods, antibiotics, chemical dips ad visits and the vets don't seem to be able to help. They say that it looksl ike sarcoptic mange, but the tests and skin scrapes have come back negative. A change of diet to allergy-free or better food did not help either. He is digging holes in his own ears and skin because he's itching so badly. The poor guy.Mom's in tears, and is fearing she's going to have to put him to sleep. She can't bear all these strong chemical dips and weekly steriod shots anymore.Help? Anyone? thoughts? Thanks much, love and light,

Anne

Hi,

Our dog had serious skin issues and the vet put him on prednisone. After about a week of bad side effects,l took him off and started putting msm powder in his food and adding colloidal silver to his water. He will occasionally still scratch a little bit but for the most part is healed and in much better shape.

Good Luck

Hi ,

I had a German shepherd who was totally chewing her feet off because of itching. I allowed the vet to give her steroids twice. The first time, it seemed to help for a couple of weeks, then returned to its previous status. I waited about six months until I was feeling quite desperate, and then got her another steroid shot. This one not only didn't help, it seemed to make the itching worse! Needless to say, I wouldn't use steroids for itching again.

There are so many animal groups that help with all these

sorts of problems, a lot of them run by people with years experience

in natural animal health. They already have resources available

have you considered joining one?

Not that I think you should not post here but you would probably

get faster and more in depth answers from them.
