Guest guest
I don't think so Suzi. We've been looking at " rash " websites and the closest it looks like is shingles. Guest guest
Thanks Sharyn. I'll try that! i've been using Gold Bond lotion. I have a ton of herbs, just wondering what I can do to help it dry up and go away...depending on what it is. The closest thing I can find online is it is similar to shingles. Guest guest
What Suzi said. Also, shingles is a "symptom" of a deeper underlying problem. So you can cure the pain/symptom, but you need to cleanse to get rid of the underlying cause. Shingles is a physical manifestationof a virus in the body....and your immune system has gotten out of balance and can't deal with the virus. (Same virus as chickenpox and herpes.) Guest guest
Did the dogs have fleas? flea dermatitis? If shingles, get yourself some cream/salve with cayenne and rub on... can take cayenne orally too. Ironically, I'm having a similar situation on my chest. I inflamed my chest wall (major pains...) last weekend... well tumeric is healing it (anti-inflamatory).. but now I've broken out with a rash and itch... acts like chiggers but wrong time of year here.. the cat had fleas so that is a possibility or a reaction to too much tumeric... still trying to figure this one out.. don't think shingles though (DH says no as he gets them once in a rare while) ...we're on about 4 days now with no clue, other than stress when I was having chest pains and didn't know it was the chest wall....I was on the net trying to figure out what was wrong... felt like I was carrying an anvil on by chest... Took cayenne and a few other things... finally went to dr. office to get a diagnosis....cause nothing seemed to fit and it still was hurting or throbbing whenever I moved or breathed deep... seems I must have done it playing golf (it was a bit cool out) so I started taking tumeric... pain subsided and the itching began... now have what looks like chiggers or hives... sheesh. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry to hear about the rash you developed.. A few weeks ago I broke out with a rash on the back of my legs and didn't know where it came from. On one leg it was a little patch and the other leg a L shaped line.. I finally figured out what it was and it was posion Oak. I had sat on My dh lap with shorts on and he had blue jeans on and some kind a way he got into so Posion oak outside and it was on His jeans.. He even got it on His legs.. But I told you this to tell you We used Black Walnut Tincture on the rash and before We knew it it all dried up.. And it really helped with the itch. I hope this helps you in some way.. Hope you get better soon. Eibhlin > > Hello Friends, > > In the past week, > I've developed a horribly itchy rash on my calf. Would be the first thing I would reach for. Second would be a good cleansing (internal) and serious consideration into dietary changes. (Oh God, there he goes again with that same old song and dance) LOL Serious though, if you are developing rashes your body is trying to get rid of toxins through the skin. It usually takes about a week or ten days to go away. > I do not know what triggers it but I do only get it in the winter time. > > ========================== Hi , Okay so let's analyze this. Your first clue is it happens only in the winter time. Most likely, unless you are living at the equatorial portion of the earth you live where it gets colder in the winter time. That being the case you are more likely to wear heavier clothing. This means less breathing and ventilation for the body. This 'problem' depends a great deal on your diet and the current condition of your internal environment. It also depends on the type of clothing you wear (synthetic materials, wools or all cotton) detergents you use to cleane your clothing with, soaps and shampoos. Also depends on whether you use cleaning houses or not (chemical cleaners). One of the best things you can do for yourself, other than dietary changes and cleansing, is dry skin brushing twice a day in fresh air (as in next to an open window etc.) The skin needs to breath. The skin gets to breathe a lot during the warmer months. But during colder months we tend to bundle up and not allow our skin to breathe. Not everyone, but some people tend to shower or bathe less during the winter months because they don't think they need to (lack of sweating I guess). 100% cotton or silk would be the preferable clothing materials to wear as opposed to the synthetics which are not good for your body (contrary to what the manufacturers claim). Your detergents are also a big factor and many laundry detergents are just that, a detergent that is mostly a chemical soup. Not good for your body. No matter how much you rinse your clothes you won't get all of that detergent out of them. You can use vinegar in the rinses and it will get a lot of the detergent out but not all. Best would be to wash your clothes the way great grandma did. Plain old soap flakes or some liquid castille soap (Dr. Bronners works really well). That detergent that gets left in your clothes also gets put onto your skin everytime you put your clothing on. Yes it will get absorbed into the skin to an extent, an no, the body does not eliminate it very effectively as it does not know what to do with it, other than store it in the liver or fat cells. Most commercial soaps and shampoos are full of nasty chemicals that the companies say are natural. They may be natural but the process used to extract these chemicals is far from natural and does leave a residue of other nasty chemicals to contend with. Anything that you put onto your skin, whether it is your legs, torso, arms or head will absorb through your skin and find its way to the interior of your body, ie. organs, tissues, etc. These skin patches are your bodies attempt to release toxins through the skin. You can assist this process by dry skin brushing and bathing daily. Don't get me wrong here, I am not implying that you don't. You really should also look at what you eat too. During winter months we tend to eat heavier fat laden, overcooked foods that are just plain not good for your body. We also tend to over indulge in the refined sugars and flours. It sounds pretty much to me like you are dealing with psoriasis or eczema here. You are probably lacking in the omega oils - 3 & 6. Hemp seed oil or Udo's oil will give your body the necessary omegas in the proper proportion. Anyway, , these are some thoughts for you to consider and hopefully you will find your solution. If you have any more questions or want to know more feel free to ask. We are here to help one another climb from the depths and darkness of ill health into the light of vibrancy and youthful vigor. Spoke to my real mom last night (as opposed to mama suzi)and she seems to have picked up a rash from her dog!!! Strange string of rashes going on. LOL We are all stubborn at various stages of our evolution and life. No reason to feel guilty and I am not trying to make you feel that way either. Just doing my best to point out the obvious, which really isn't so obvious when we are being stubborn. Yes, even I am mule headed sometimes. But we all learn and grow. If I didn't care I wouldn't continue to point out and remind. This is a great list with a great group of people. Everyone of us is unique and everyone of us is perfect (though most, if not all of us, have yet to realize our perfection). We all realize that we are unique, however. So that is a good start and I care about all of us, that is why I started this list. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Suzi, I'd start taking mullein tincture, even better mullein with marshmallow root. Possibly had something going on in your chest you were unaware of. The rash is just your skin filtering out the poisons. Make or get some soap with tea tree in it, should help. If it is a wet rash dab some calamine on it 3x a day. Janet ----- Original Message ----- From: Suzanne health Sent: Sunday, November 14, 2004 4:58 PM Subject: Re: Re: Itchy Rash!! Ack!
