Hi Eibhlin,

Yes you can use powdered cayenne. Better would be powdered habaneros

though. Best would be fresh habs. Don't let not having fresh stop you. I

can't get any hot peppers here in Slovenia, yet, so am using only

powdered habanero that I import. Still mighty potent.
