There are purple peppers... but I've never seen anywhere purple habs

I have had purple bell peppers but never purple hot peppers. They were small and even that site you sent said they were hot. Maybe I'll splurge and buy a box next week and see just "how" hot they are. The box said they were a "10" which is about as hot as you can get. According to a sign above the hot peppers at our supermarket, jalapenos rate a "6", Scotch Bonnet a "9" and habaneros "10". I think there are other peppers that are also a "10".

Check out this site... I don't think they are habs but another variety.

Sharyn or I can get you some habs.... Add me to the list, Suzi. I was just at the farmer's market Sat. and they had lots of boxes of peppers with cards saying "Habaneros...HOT! Level 10!" on them. They had habanero written on them but some of them were dark purple. I never saw purple hot peppers but I'll take their word for it. We have lots here if anyone can't get them.Gloria
