Guest guest
Well, I tried several whey proteins, way back when everyone was all excited about it. Immunpro was the must-have for every CFS patient. And Goatein was frequently mentioned as a less expensive alternative. I can't say I noticed much personally nor did I see much evidence that it lived up to all the hype. These days Glutathione has become the new whey protein (and before that, the B vitamins). I don't exactly get it because one of the suggested ways to increase glutathione is with whey protein. Which, like I said, a lot of people already did and it seemed to be more about hype than results. Now some researcers are saying those with CFS need carbs more than protein anyway. Yet another 180. My feeling with this stuff is if it works for you great. I'm certainly not going to diss anything that works. But personally, I've taken about everything there is to take to boost my immune system, and it makes little or no difference. My focus now is on the bugs themselves. I'll do what I can to make my body inhospitable to them, but I'm not so keen on blaming my immune system for something it wasn't designed to do in the first palce. I do add whey to my smoothies still, though. penny Colourbleu <colourbleu@...> wrote: Any ideas about these whey immune boosters. I have just tried one called goatein IG by garden of life, supposed to be one of the best. So far I notice nothing on the recommended 5 tablets on empty stomach but its a bit too early to say. Does anyone have any thoughts on this yet another so-called miracle cure?bleu
