Except for during the fiirst few months of being all raw, I've always included raw eggs and dairy. I've dabbled in a few other raw animal products in the past few years. When we have meat, it's usually grassfed and either slow-cooked in bone broth or very rare. We have our own goat meat and sausage made with no msg or nitrates. We also have our own chickens and eggs. I usually have kefir every day and at least 2 glasses of raw goat milk, usually warm, fresh and taken by itself. We eat raw soaked almonds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. Homemade salad dressings from Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cold-Pressed Sesame OIl, raw vinegar, homegrown eggs, etc. Fruit is usually not organic, but I don't eat an abundance of it unless it is. We eat an abundance of wild greens.. usually a wild salad almost every day from April to November. We have raw grassfed butter and raw ice cream made with our own eggs, our own honey and our own cream. We drink fermented whey soda with EM's every day. EM's are efficient microbes (http://www.eminfo.info) I've tried various changes to my diet and nothing helps, though I know I'll gain if I start eating too much cooked, especially cooked starches but also cooked meat. I can't get weight to come off, even if I go all-raw and down to 900 calories a day (not that calories matter, just to give you an indication of how much food is eaten). Thanks, Meg
Guest guest
Meg, I really think you need to do a master cleanse.. (in the files) also known as the lemonade cleanse, at least a colon cleanse... and lay off the dairy for now.. Keifer is okay but cut it back some Do more veggie juices. I'm sure Don will have alot more to say but I would cut back on the dairy and start doing more veggie juicing .. Also, how much water do you drink a day??? That would be a big help..You need to be drinking water (lots).. this may be part of the problem also.I've read a bit on the EM's will have to research more... what happens if you don't take them...? Guest guest
Ok, you really don't want to do a cleanse while nursing... in fact doing any kind of detoxing while nursing is not the best as the toxins could leave thru the milk also. So how much water you drinking a day???? Suzimegdcl2 <lund@...> wrote: > I've read a bit on the EM's will have to research more... what happens if you don't take them...?> Suzi> Well, I've only been taking them for 7 months and my problem was there well before that. They definitely help and I've gotten a ton of old stuff out of my colon and some parasites since taking them. They've worked far better than the cleanses I've done. I've done the Arise & Shine and a few other fasts. I'm usually pregnant or nursing so that limits me. I'm nursing now but not a lot. Thanks,Meg

Do peruse the files and message archives at your leisure and make yourself at home. Sounds like you have some interesting stuff going on with your body. I wonder if you have had your thyroid tested? Not that it matters too much as the tests are not all that accurate anyhow. But I tend to think you might have an underactive thyroid. Not uncommon. Your best bet on this one is to do a thorough bowel cleanse, change your diet to only raw fruits and green leafy veggies. Cut out the dairy, meat, animal products and any processed foods that you are eating along with eating cooked anything. Start doing some juice cleansing and/or fasting and then jump into a total body cleanse (either the Master Cleanse, Shultze's total body cleanse or others). You might also consider making a fomentation of 3 parts mullein and 1 part lobelia, soak a flannel in it and place it as hot as you can stand on your thyroid region, cover with plastic wrap and leave on all night. Do this 6 nights a week and take the 7th. night off. Then resume again using the 6 on 1 off schedule. This is very beneficial for the thyroid. You might also consider adding more kelp or dulce into your diet as well. Eat lots of sprouts too. All grains should be sprouted as should all seeds and nuts. Use only sprouted grains and do not cook them. Dehydrate so your preserve the enzymes and nutrients. Do drink lots of water and add some freshly squeezed lemon to it with every glass you drink (should drink at least 3/4 to 1 gallon per day, preferrably distilled or RO water. Cleansing the body is the only way to remove obstruction, congestion and constipation of the tissues and organs. There is no other way. Fasting and cleansing. Eating all raw will give your body the necessary minerals (organic form) that your body will use to repair and rebuild with. It will also give your body the necessary enzymes it needs. Do drink lots of fresh juiced vegetables and freshly juiced fruits. Lots!!!! Losing weight takes time. Don't rush it. Going all raw and doing the above you will eventually start to lose the weight. The longer you continue the more you will lose until your body reaches its preferred weight. If you must use any dairy, animal products, etc do so in very small amounts and only raw. Never pasteurized, cooked, etc. The more you cleanse the easier you will lose the weight. I understand that intense cleanses are not really conducive while you are breast feeding. However, you can go all raw cut way down on the dairy and meats. Then when the situation is more open you can do some serious cleansing and fasting. Interesting web site on EM. Lot to be said about fermented foods and their benefits on the body.
