Guest guest
I seem to recall someone posting some books to read on the subject matter and felt that i ought to add some that i feel helped in working out the puzzle of autism. Gut and Psychology Syndrome - Dr Natasha Mcbride. Autism Body Brain connection - Dr Greg Ellis - www.1st-autism-body- brain-connection.com Phobia Free - Harold Levinson - this describes phobic behaviour/triggers - why vestibular is the key and is representative of the behaviours children with autism display - downside he treats with medication so ignored that bit but a worthwhile read all the same! The sound of a miracle - bel Stehli - a parents story of recovery through AIT. The " out of synch child " - Carol Stock Kranowitz - nothing to do with autism but so explains some of our childrens behaviour. Smart moves - Carla Hannaford Dominance Factor - Carla Hannaford. When the Brain cant hear - Terri Bellis Natural Medicine Guide to Autism - Marohn. The late talker - Marilyn C Agin. The healing nutrients within - Braverman Making the Body-brain Connection Physical Activities for improving yoru childs learning and behaviour - cheatum and alison hammond. (this is about retained primary birth reflexes and how to test for them and how to move the child on from them - as these hinder developmental progress) The ultimate stranger - carl delacato - this chap was the 1st chap to identify the sensoryism autistic children display and provide clues as to what they mean and how to help. Mental Health and nutrition - dr carl c pfeiffer. The child with special needs - stanley greenspan Excitotoxins - the taste that kills - russell blaylock. These are just some of the ones i have read that have helped steer me in my quest. I also have jacqueline mccandless's book children with starving brains and whilst i think it is a good book - it is allopathic and symptom based in its approach - which isnt the answer in my personal opinion. Also have Shaws biological treatments for Autism and ADD but again allopathic in its approach. hope these help Nikki
