Guest guest
Hilda, I'm so glad to hear you survived the camp so well, and went as well prepared as you did. Orange anything is an avoid. Since lemon is neutral I would think lemon peel would be also. At one time Chicory is listed in the typebase as a beneficial. The others are not listed so you can count them as neutral unless you have a reaction to them. I noticed a long time ago that rosehips was suggested by for O's to get their Vitamin C. Enjoy your teas. Herbal Tea Hi there all! We survived the camp although there was only one meal that we could eat with the rest. The rest of the time, we survived on biltong, dried mango, rye muffins and rice salad that we took along. Sigh..... About the herbal teas. The ones in South Africa has a mixture of any of the following (these are the most common ingredients): Hibiscus Rosehip Honeybush Orange Peel Lemon Grass Lemon Peel Chicory Root I can't find listings on these in the book. Does anybody have any idea which of these might be avoids? Hilda Vosloo email: hildavosloo@... cell: 0829229136

Diaphoretic teas need to be given hot to work properly. Hot drinks and foods are what I consider comfort foods. Subconsciously we equate eating and drinking hot or warm foods and liquids with being warm which is very comforting. No body likes being cold, at least nobody I know likes being cold. So sometimes hot teas just seem to work better because they are so comforting as opposed to cold or iced teas. Did any of this make any sense to anyone?
