Hello Friends,

I really really appreciate all your responses.

From what I " ve heard from this list, as well as some animal companion

homeopathy lists on , ist aht Cockers are NOTORIOUS for having

skin allergies and food allergies, especially to grains and yeast

issues.

Mom is feeding him lamb and rice, but i'm talking to her this weekend

about moving to an all raw diet. (after reading up, my significant

other and I have decided to put our felines on a raw diet now!!) My

mother is a very big stick in the mud and refuses to do anything the

vet doesn't tell her to do. (which is the OPPOSITE of what I'd do,

considering the amount of money that they have put into this). I've

been talking to her tonight, but she thinks I'm a kook. I'm at least

adding some olive oil (and working on getting fish oil) to put with

his food to help, and perhaps looking at a natrual foods store this

weekend to get some supplements.

Other lists have also suggested Bach Flower essences and have had

good responses with them, even with mange. I wonder if just getting

the dog's spirits up (as well as the owner) can help so immensely.

Wouldn't be surprised.

He has not had a chem dip for a few days, but is due one on Friday.

I'm trying to get mom NOT to give it to him. But....she wont.

*SIGH*. He was also treated with Revolution, the first time around.

He's on antibiotics as well as oatmeal baths and this chem dip.

His ear has healed and he's not itching like he was when I wrote that

desperate message. Mom seems hopeful and more evenly keeled which is

good, and poor old Odie is wiggling around like the happy 10yo cocker

he is.

I " ll keep you posted, but I'm going to try and do all I can, and I

SINCERELY APPRECIATE all of your responses. Seriously folks.

Sharyn and others feeding raw diets...may I contact you off list re:

raw feeding?

Thanks!

anne

ps. happy turkey or tofurkey day!
