For a pint sized jar I would add in at least a dropper full of EO.

Hi ,

You are not being a pain!! You have questions and we have answers.

Nothing painful about it. :-) Okay, St. 's Wort. The leaves and

smallish stems are used in some preparations but for infused oil it is

the flowers that you desire. If you can't get fresh then go with dried.

They are not quite as good but will still turn your oil slightly reddish

or maybe really reddish in color. I have a bunch of dried St. 's

Wort that I am in the process of infusing. I have already done on batch

and am infusing some more flowers in the same oil. Only I let mine sit

for quite a spell longer than two weeks. During the summer I went a

month with it out in the sun. As I don't have any sun right now I have

it next to a heater and it will infuse all winter long most likely.

Peace be with you and good luck on your infuse oil.
