Guest guest
Spa Cuisine: Zesty Lemon Detox Tea - RecipeBy Cait , Assistant Producer, Care2 Healthy Living Channels Simple SolutionThis recipe was designed as a cleansing tea to stimulate processing of excess fats in the body, rev up circulation, and provide essential antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals - a perfect blend of nutrients. It’s a great aid in undoing the effects of holiday over-indulgence, and Annie says she was given the same tea by a helpful friend after she was exposed to toxic chemicals. But it tastes so good, you’ll want to come back for seconds: we had a crock-pot filled with it for a recent women’s workshop and it was gone in no time! This is a great recipe that really gets around - and it’s so easy to prepare. INGREDIENTS For each serving: Enough freshly-boiled water to fill your teacup or mug1 tablespoon real maple syrupFreshly-squeezed juice of half a lemonCayenne pepper to taste Simply stir ingredients together in your mug or cup. Be careful with the cayenne: a little goes a long way. Suzi What is a weed? Guest guest
I don't know why not... It came in my newsletter and I thought I would pass it along. I think the maple sugar is used for the high vital mineral content and to sweeten the drink. but that is just my thought.Rainbow Egret <egret.11@...> wrote: Hi Suzi Could you use this mix without the maple syrup? I am not sure but would think small amounts of organic maple sugar would be okay... but I'll have to do some research on this... unless Don already knows... lol However, if Carl was to do a total cleanse and go more raw.. he could get rid of his diabetes.. Thanks Suzi and his high blood pressure too :-) He doesn't take any medication for either just uses diet to control it. But he does have sugary things and salt too. I noticed in the Master Cleanse file it mentioned molasses instead of maple syrup for diabetic but that was referring to insulin dependant diabetes. It was also talking about honey not being good. That is the only thing of sorts like that left in this house. We have gotten rid of the jam, vegemite and peanut butter without complaint at all from our beautiful boys. They are so accepting of change. Such difference of opinion seems to surround honey. I have organic honey and also some local honey. I read recently that you are better using local honey because the pollens will help built allergy immunity ????? Don't know how true that is. I'm sure I'll get a response on that from Don too. I'm sure he could go raw but I don't know about the meat part of it he considers traditionally that he is a meat eater lol :-) Me on the other hand am never going to eat meat again ever not that I have for a while, only chicken when pregnant sometimes, but after watching a PETA video last night I'll never go near any meat for sure. Love to show the kids but I think it is a bit graphic for them. Certainly made me feel sick and I haven't eaten red meat for about 12 years. Turned me off the dairy too I hope. Guest guest
Yes raw (organic) honey from your area will help your allergies... you build a resistance.. Now raw honey not processed is good.... Manuka honey is probably the best there is... expensive but good stuff. If eats sugary stuff then the (grade maple sugar in the cleanse will not hurt him. Does he eat raw garlic for the BP?Rainbow Egret <egret.11@...> wrote: and his high blood pressure too :-) He doesn't take any medication for either just uses diet to control it. LOL Carl needs to stay away from all processed sugars and that includes maple syrup. He also needs to stay away from regular salt. Get him using some natural sea salt instead, it is much more balanced. Carl can have and should be encouraged to eat as much raw fruits as he wishes. Raw fruit sugar does not cause problems with diabetics as the body can utilize the sugars more efficiently. Refined sugars are foreign to the human body and it has a very difficult time processing them. He doesn't have to be diabetic. Changing his diet to predominantly raw and allowing some cleansing periodically will allow for the healing of his pancreas and allow his body to rebuild and repair itself. If he must eat meat, he would be much better off eating it raw (the body can digest raw meat a lot easier than it can cooked and it can't digest either very well. But with raw all the enzymes and everything are there to help). Cooking meat destroys everything useful in it (not that there is anything useful to the human body in meat anyway). It kills all the enzymes, denatures and destroys any proteins or amino acids, destroys any vitamins and minerals and makes it pretty much useless even for predatory animals. Do try and get him away from any processed foods as they only aggravate diabetes. Less carbs and processed sugars and more raw fruits and vegetables and he will overcome the diabetes and high blood pressure too. Contrary to popular belief, maple syrup has no useful vitamins or minerals nor does molasses. They are both heated to extreme heat which destroys all vitamins and minerals. Do you have any knowledge about the herbs and other flora that grow around your neck of the woods? I am not certain how Agave nectar is produced. It may be heated and it may not be. Do stay away from Corn syrup or glucose syrup though. This stuff is bad news for anyone. If he has high BP he needs to cut out the salt and start eating more raw garlic, using raw ginger and cayenne. All of these will help to normalize his circulation and stabilize his BP. He also needs to drink lots of water, if he isn't already. There is a formula in the files for the pancreas. Very useful for those with diabetes or hypoglycemia. Peace be with you Tracey. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
