Guest guest
Dear Sue & All, Found 4 flower essences (names) that may be very helpful to lymies. Have not yet found a source or mfg - when I do, I'll be glad to share info if anyone is interested. In working on a homework project a year ago, I had the opportunity to watch the Discovery Brain Tape Series (fascinating!!!) & so some of this makes some sense to me. The hippocampus, located mid-left brain, holds our short-term memory & I have been pondering WHY the lyme likes to screw up this area - or perhaps it's the electrical impulses flowing back & forth to & from this area. This area is also associated with word recall... I'm no expert on this topic by any means - LOL! But, if anyone has ?s on this, I'd be glad to try to clarify. Wish I had a scanner, have a biology book here with super picture of neurotransmitters & synapses (the gap between the 2 neurotransmitters) - one side is like a lock & the other like a key. Calcium & magnesium play VITAL roles in these synapses as the key side of the neurotransmitter sort of squirts tiny amount of fluid & electrical charge, which lands precisely in the " lock " side & sort of explodes. It is the calcium / magnesium that allows this chemical / electrical change to take place. Was reading my " Vibrational Medicine " book (Dr. Gerber) & found the following info: Pg. 265 on Yerba Mate: " Yerba mate increases regeneration of brain tissues, yet this is only the subtle aspect. It actually facilitates remapping cell patterns for unused portions of the brain; for instance, if there is damage to the lef-hand portion of the brain, the right brain compensates for this. The essence, moreover, increases memory, visualization, & development of the attention span. . . It is applicable to the full spectrum of mental disease, particularly when psychochemical imbalances cause mental illness. It also affects the pituitary gland, which influences the personality far beyond what western science now understands. " On mugwort: " Mugwort's most benefitial effect is its ability to reintegrate the synapses and enhance communication between the individual neurons in the brain. " On Mcartney Rose: " It balances the left & right brain, in part by increasing the sensitivity of the neurons. On the cellular level, Mcartney Rose increases the distribution of the RNS & stimulates tissue regeneration of the neurological tissues, particularly in the brain. In addition, it increases the ability of the cellular structure to hold an electrical charge. This has implications in tissue regeneration because electrical charges within cells activate cellular memory. " Page 270 - Spruce " Spruce is good to use during a detoxification program; for instance, when people have been exposed to various pollutants such as asbestos. " " ...This is also an excellent remedy to take when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy. It detoxifies the body to prevent side effects developing. Once disease has manifested in the body, however, other essences should be used... " Have been looking for a premium quality supplier who offers a mixture of the 3 - or even sells them individually. Have found yerbe mate tea (not the same as essence at all) & mugwort in essence form, but am trying to hold out a few days to see if healthfood stores come up with mixture. I know exactly what you mean about the Rescue Remedy. NEVER leave home without it! LOL! (Really!) This is suspended, however, in 15% alcohol solution & alcohol (not even wipes) are good for lymies. If you'd like, you can heat water in tea cup until almost boiling, remove lid of bottle, set bottle in hot water & let sit for 5-10 min. This will safely evaporate all or most all of the alcohol in it & will not change the essence at all. (I did this & could tell quite a difference - no wonder the dogs don't like this stuff - it " bites " tongue like brandy! LOL! They don't mind it so much now, though...) If anyone comes up with suppliers / mfrs for these - or is interested in source when I locate it ( & I WILL!), please let me know. BTW, these are very inexpensive - at least the mugwort was only $6 for a small bottle - but we're talking doseages of drops here... LOL! Blessings & velcros, Chris

Guest guest
Hi , There is something to be said about starting off with a Bach kit. There are more books and support materials for the original Bach remedies than any other set. Next, I would consider the flower essences produced by FES (Flower Essence Society) in California (http://www.flowersociety.org). They publish a wonderful flower essence materia medica, which is extremely helpful in formulating essence combinations. There is also the idea of following your heart when it comes to vibrational essences. If you resonate with the desert, check out the essences from Arizona or the Australian Bush Essences (English homeopath Ian considers the Australian essences extremely powerful.). At this point, there are essences produced all over the world. A wonderful resource for learning about essences, and how to use them, is the free, on-line, Vibration Magazine: http://www.floweressencemagazine.com Enjoy experimenting with essences. They are amazing. Guest guest
Hi - I recently purchased a kit from a company in England called Skylark books. You can find them easily by doing a google search. The kit includes 10 ml stock bottles of the 38 Bach essences, 2 rescue remedies and a wooden storage case. The remedies themselves are made by a company called Healing Herbs. They use organic brandy and prepare remedies according to Dr. Bach's original instructions. They had an offer going for 5% off any kit purchase including the storage case. The total was 138 British Pounds...the amount in dollars will depend on how you choose to pay. You will likely get the best exchange rate if you use a credit card. I'm just about to use my kit for the first time to create a formula for the business-weary-newbie-naturopath that I am. Best of luck. - Picard ND North field, RIBJ ADREZIN <BJ@...> wrote: Hi ,There is something to be said about starting off with a Bach kit.
