Guest guest
The Paraway Pack that I use comes with a fiber mix witch contains probiotics among all the other ingredients, also comes with capsules, and a tea. I take 5 capsules in the morning <started out with 3 in the beginning> and then drink the fiber mix, <I drink 8-10 glasses of water per day> Then at night I drink the tea steeping it from 3-5 minutes. It's worked great. I go to the bathroom within an hour of getting up in the morning....no cramps or pain. I've decided to continue the cleanse for 3 months I'm doing so well on it. I find the concept. . .well frightening. Sherry
Guest guest
Dear Sherry, Did you mean to post an url for the colon cleanses? I also belong to a group where the moderator is saying the same thing, and also recommends 1) enemas every day; 2) bentonite and pysllium too everyone (and too often with no cautions); 3) that colonics should be done (a blanket okay for everyone without discretion); and 4) fasting with juice is okay, etc. That is one of major reasons I started this forum. All of these treatments should be approached with caution and you should know what you are doing. Colon cleanses are beneficial at the right time and under certain conditions, depending upon the persons overall health, age, condition, etc. I think that moderator is going by her own treatment. I feel it is important to be cautious and not make any blanket recommendations about such treatments. Maybe anyone who feels they need it should be under their practitioner's care and follow their recommendations, i.e. chiropractor, naturopath, holistic M.D., etc. I'm finding many people on the internet are trying to find quick fixes as well and that is not wise, nor beneficial in the long-run. They will take the word of websites that sell without consulting with a practitioner or other health care advisors. And they are not researching the products either. I don't agree with that. Maybe I am skeptical, but I believe it is with good reason. I'd rather err on the side of caution. If someone had recommended I have any of the things listed above when I was in the first few months of my candida program (other than an occasional enemas) I trully believe it would have set me back and slowed my progress. Do you have thoughts? Cheers, Bee > > So Bee > > what do you think about these colon cleanses everyone is doing I have one group where the moderator is alway telling everyone they should do these herbal colon cleanses. Guest guest
Bee, I agree with you 100%. I think the moderator of the group that advocates the colon cleanses has her heart in the right place(I hope). . . .but the group is basically for her to sell all of her products. I have read the ingredients on some of them, and I wouldn't take them myself. There are so many women in that group that just take the stuff blindly because the moderator recommends it. I think your right about people wanting a quick fix and not wanting to do their own research. The moderators tells everyone how this product works for her and they think well if it worked for her it will work for me. Not true as there are so many considerations involved. I will be leaving the group today. I have stuck around a long time (over a year) thinking maybe some good would come from it. But your not allowed to even post links. She says she doesn't want it to turn into a selling group. That wouldn't be my intent. . I like links for the information and articles. Oh by the way I started Pau d'arco(sp) this am. . .What should I expect as far as die off. . .I am taking a tincture three times a day. Is it gentle? Take Care Sherry

They only strip it of nutrients while they are purging you. Herbs on the other hand, are food and when used correctly and properly will feed your bowels and help bring them back into harmony. It is really difficult to harm yourself using herbs but not impossible.
