You will know if it is still good by mixing up some AMMS. If it doesn't smell that characteristic smell, then it's no longer active. One hour of direct sunlight will deactivate MMS, so make sure you store it in the dark. Not in the fridge where that constant light going on and off. After a few months that will deactivate it too.
