Political issues

Just a short message to everyone:

We have a really wonderful group of people here. Lots of talent and

knowledge, compassion and love. HAWK has grown in ways I never imagined

yet the direction is what I had intended. I am really glad to see the

willingness of everyone to help one another, to welcome new members and

to share the wisdom and knowledge we all have.

Probably the major strong point of HAWK is the positive, optimistic

environment and outlook we all bring to the list and share so openly

with one another. Nobody can heal in a negative environment or they

cannot heal well. This is why I wish to keep this group as postive and

upbeat as possible. I know that there will be times that will test us

all especially when it comes to the arena of politics and religion. We

all do an excellent job of keeping religion very low key and not

delving into topics which may lead to disharmony on the list. Politics

doesn't hit any closer to home than does religion. However, we are more

apt to throw out the political snowball as it has a more overt

potential of doing damage to our health through regulations and laws.

I am all for being against proposed laws and amendments that violate

the God given rights all humans are entitled to. However,

I believe that there are enough forums and groups that openly share the

news, petitions, etc., of the political arena that we really don't need

to go into them on HAWK. There are several that enjoy

jumping into the political arena and getting folks fired up enough to

sign petitions and call their congressmen and senators, and plenty more groups posting

this info. HAWK is a group

concerned about healing and the "well fare" and "care" of the

individual, and though we do

need to be made aware of laws being proposed that regulate or ban

herbs, etc., we are not here to spend our time worrying, writing and

calling the gov't (who is going to do what it is going to do with or

without us.)... ..this is negativity and does us absolutely no good.

Besides there are plenty of other groups (probably

hundreds) that are

there for this purpose of informing you what the govt is proposing.

I would really prefer if we could keep these political hot

potatoes off the list, as they only serve to stir up negative

emotions, thoughts and feelings which are not conducive to healing and

good health. If it is an issue that concerns banning of

alternative forms of health and healing, please contact either

Suzi or myself, before posting to the group. I have been guilty of

said, in the past myself, and have seen the effects caused by my lack

of self-restraint and common sense.

We really want to keep this a positive, optimistic driven

group for all. Happiness, good feelings, compassion, love and genuine

care and concern without the anguish, anger, and

negativity that goes along with politics. We are all responsible people

and we owe it to ourselves (and our health)

and to those yet to come to make HAWK a place where peace reigns and

the seeds of health and healing can be nurtured with the love and

compassion of us all.

Well okay, so maybe it wasn't so short after all. LOL Peace be with

each and everyone of you and may your days ahead be filled with loving

compassion for your fellow man and all of nature. Our health truly is

in our own hands.
