Guest guest
Yes, but it has only a 30 day life span and needs to be refrigerated. Don't know if it is shipped in a cooler. You might ask. Guest guest
I disolve half of a 25mg tablet in 25ml of water. By george does it ever taste bitter. To the 25ml I add two drops of liquid stevia extract, and that greatly lessens the bitterness. Although stevia is from a natural source, if wary of sweetners, organic honey works well too. As for the pills not tasting bitter my serapeptase pills have an enteric coating, and have no taste to them at all. The enteric coating protects the pills against the acids of the degestive system, so that the medicine can be absorbed by the small intestine. I have RRMS, and have been on LDN for 4 weeks at 3mg, and take Copaxone. Other than a greater feeling of weelness, I have noticed stiffness in calves, tremors during some, not all, hand movements, and a slight acid/occasional feeling of nausea. No actual improvements in any of my MS symptoms have bveen noticed at this point. However, I'm interested to see what the results of my next MRI will show. At last, my existing lessions where non-enhancing, and there was only minor new activity is a small area off to the side. Just a side thought, if any one can further this. LDN may not benefit all those with MS due to the many different causes of MS. It would be interesting if some of the reasons those that benefited most from MS where known, or what tests, treatments, and supplements have they used/currently are on. Guest guest
I'm pretty sure you can get the liquid LDN from Skip's. You'll have to call them to find out for sure. Guest guest
I make up my own liquid using 50 mg tablets and distilled water. I put my nightly dose in a small amount of pure grape juice (Welch's no sugar added). I can't even taste the LDN. I just quickly throw it down the hatch and follow with a swallow of water. Guest guest
Thanks, The question was: Does it taste bitter without adding it to juice, that is by itself? Mine tastes like water and I am concerned that it may not be naltrexone. Guest guest
-There definately is a distinctive bitter taste to it. You might want to make sure you have what you think you have. Where did you say you purchased it again? Guest guest
Saundra, Mine is from River. I had Nodict before from River and had no problem with it. You can imagine, I'm sure, how disconcerting it is not knowing if you're on the life-saving drug or not. Guest guest
- Mine is from River too. (who got it from India)I purchased it the middle of April, and like I said, it most definitely has a bitter taste. I would be a little upset too if I were you. Has it been working for you?? Please let me know if you find anything out about it. Thanks, Saundra -- I > J
Guest guest
The brand River sells is Nodict made by Sun Pharmaceuticals in India. Most generics is use today are made in India and Europe. Mine arrived first week of May. I must have ordered it mid-April or so. I don't think there's a problem with the brand, and certainly not with River. It's just very curious and I plan to find out why there's no taste. Someone suggested that taste is subjective and it just may not taste bitter to ME. I suppose that's a possibility but it strikes me as very unlikely. The tablet I had before this batch worked fine. When I started on this batch I noticed some symptoms returning. I'll let you know what I find out. Jaco --- Saundra Renz <sassyfur98@...> wrote: > - > Mine is from River too. Guest guest
Thanks Jan, Yes I thought it should taste bitter but mine doesn't. It tastes like water. I don't know why. Guest guest
My LDN is very bitter tasting. I buy Naltima 50mg tabs from AllDayChemist. Judging by the effects I've had I would say that the bitter taste dose not effect it's efficacy. > > " The question was: Does it taste bitter without > adding it to juice, that is by itself? Guest guest
Jaco - I order my LDN from River Pharmacy. I checked and I have the same batch number that you do. AD72374 12/2007. My LDN does taste bitter like it always does and it seems to be working like always. I wonder if you just had one pill in the shipment that was messed up? Have you tried any other pills in the shipment to see if they taste bitter once they are dissolved in water? Dena Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: 50mg tabs in H20/taste? Thanks Laurie, Mine says B.No..:AD72374, MFG:12/2007. It's unlikely that two batches are poor quality. I suppose it's possible one pill is all excipient and no active ingredient. Far fetched, but possible. Guest guest
Yes, I tried a different tablet and it tasted like water. I guess there is a possiblity I can't taste the bitter of it. How very weird! Thanks for your info. Jaco --- dschwar4321@... wrote: > Jaco - > > I order my LDN from River Pharmacy.? I checked and I > have the same batch number that you do.? AD72374 > 12/2007.?
