Culturelle GG and No-Phenol enzyme has really help us with killing off pathogens. My son is also with a Classical Homeopath and controlling pathogens just seems take the remedy work better.Nikki Riggs <nikkiriggs1@...> wrote:

Hi terri-lynne,

It is a long story – when I put my child on a GFCF diet 3 years ago suddenly his diet became more carb based and all the stuff that feeds bad bugs and I do feel I created a problem or made an existing one worse for going on this diet particularly over time but that is an even longer story! – I took my child to see a paed who was a candida expert who told me he had candida issues and put him on a regime of nystatin, the first one was sugar free and sent him off the planet totally and he hallucinated on it! Scary time, then put him on a sugar based one but we just couldn’t build it up as he was really having a bad time with the fallout from it! And

all the time he was getting more and more autisitic the sicker he got!

We then found a homeopathic dr who put alex on a regimen of products – including enzymatic stuff one of which was a probiotic and the other an antifungal – not necessarily targeting candida but all of them, clostridia, klebsiella and the rest and not necessarily about wiping them out but about restoring balance. He has been on these products for 2 ½ years – the antifungal came about 2 mths in as he wanted him off the nystatin asap! My son was highly reactive to anything he ingested/absorbed/inhaled/touched etc. In terms of behaviour if he had bad products/affected by moulds in winter time/candida flare ups(sore rashy bum) – he would be manic, running around hyper, couldn’t stop, leaping off furniture, no sense of danger, throw things, and lose a lot of his functional abilities, comprehension and be brain fogged, aggressive, irritable, behavioural issues and the list goes on and on. Now he doesn’t have these extreme reactions anymore – even when he gets sugar, he may have a minor intolerance to moulds still but not sure as when I think he has a problem it is so minor now you have to look for it and usually comes down with a cold so probably cytokines and lymphocytes are responsible instead. We are have reduced his meds with no deterioration in function over the last 6 mths in fact still making huge steps in progress, and we are aiming to

take him off them altogether when I feel he is ready! We still have problems with his immune function trying to switch him from TH2 to TH1 status – but we are making progress as he is now developing colds which he hadn’t done for 5 years due to his aggressive TH2 immune status and also he is no longer reacting allergically to so many thing that he used to which is further evidence that it is trying to switch to the more tolerant TH1 status.

In terms of what is in the products I couldn’t tell you I am afraid as they are a mixture of things he uses as he does complex homeopathy.

Don’t know if this has helped or not!

Hi Nikki, (and anyone else with additional knowledge):

I would be interested to know how you treated your son homeopathically for candida. Which formula(s) did you use, how much, how often? And did you use anything topically?

What made you think he needed to be treated for candida in the first place? And what symptoms have gone away that make you think that he is in balance now?

I look forward to any experience you can share with me. Thanks much,

TerriLynne
