Guest guest
Let me jump in and say it is helping me and I have only been on it just over two weeks. I highly recommend it and will not be without. I only have about 20% lung function. How much do you have? Sure wish I had known about it when I had higher numbers. Has me working on my little '71 Honda mini car. Best of Luck to you and do let us know how you do. Cotton Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN for COPD?? Guest guest
Heidi, I am not on O2 anymore, I suppose it depends on how bad you are, and what your FEV1 is, hopefully LDN will stop the exacerbations which lead to further lung damage - go girl!!! Guest guest
Sometimes. It had helped Bill who has MS and was on 24/7 with oxygen. He is walking now and no longer needs oxygen tanks. Guest guest
Holy cow, and for all these years I thought you were a female. I just joined a couple of days ago, since I read Celia's email on the COPD list. I am on the transplant list, and have a 6 month check up today. I wonder if I should ask the doctor for a prescription? More than likely I won't get it though. I'm also participating in the Stent trial, and supposed to get the stents on June 23 (or placebo). There are so many new treatments popping up lately, I don't know if I want the stents now. Well, no we have three people I know of from the old COPD list. Talk to you later. Guest guest
Heidi, I'm on o2 24/7 and it is helping me some. If I was up above the 20% lung function I feel sure it would help even more. One big plus has been [i think] Is my nasal passages do not swell shut as they had been doing. I said I think because I also put several drops of 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide in the humidifier bottle on my LOX tank and that may be helping as well. The old shot gun treatment. Note I would not use drug store type peroxide in the humidifier bottle. Tried it one time and what it did to the tubing, I did not want in my lungs.
