Guest guest
Dr. McCandless prescribed 3 mg. dose LDN transdermal cream for me because of my low weight, and I have been using it for 6 days now. I had reduced my prednisone to 10 mg. before beginning the LDN but have since had increased Crohn's symptoms of gas, some visible bleeding, and diarrhea. I sent an e-mail to Dr. McCadless the other evening at about 8 o'clock and was so favorably impressed when she answered me about 10 minutes later. She said it would be ok to increase the dose of LDN a bit as well as the prednisone just short term until the LDN kicks in. I believe the bleeding was the result of the taper down to 10 mg. of prednisone. I've been involved with this very, very long lasting flare for the past 9 months and had been taking quite a bit of prednisone as well as two IV's of Remicade back in March. I refused further IV's of Remicade once I had learned about LDN. Did you hear on the news that the FDA is researching Remicade because of increased instances of cancer? I know of a young man who took Remicade for a year and was doing ok so the doctor took him off it and in less than a month he became very symptomatic and may require surgery now. All the risks of taking Remicade and you end up with no long-term healing but instead something like that! LDN sounds much more reasonable to me. Have others had similar experience of taking time to achieve results with LDN? I know some had said they felt better within a day or two, but I really didn't think that was possible for me as I have suffered from malnutrition and side effects of so much prednisone for so long. Keeping my fingers crossed and using positive thinking.
