My disease, Primarly Lateral Sclerosis, killed my libido, and while LDN is helping a little with my gait, it has not revived my libido at all.

Anyone know if LDN contributes to an increase in Prolactin in one's system?Anyone using LDN experience a reduction/disappearance of their libido?Art--

Along with my MS dx I also experienced a disappearance of my libido.

At first I thought it was a postpartum thing but it just never returned.

I've been on LDN for 2 months today and things are looking up in that

department. This may be too much info so I'll apologize ahead of time

but I've 'hit the jackpot' so to speak - for the first time in 6

years. I cried :)

,

Thanks for sharing, I know it is hard to talk about " private matters " .

But this is another important feature that LDN appears to fire up for

some who take it. Low libido is easy to slide into when you have MS,

just from fatique and general misery and stress. But then it gets

compounded by nerve damage. I had been non-reponsive from numbness for

several years when I started LDN in 2004, w/i 4 months I could " hit the

jackpot " again too. That is a really important part of recovery, as one

more peice of stress reduction, and for the partner too.

Good we share all the facts. Somebody might think they are a permanent

non-responder and never try again, even after starting LDN.

Thanks SammyJo,

I think you're absolutely right. It is an important part of recovery.

As understanding and patient as my husband has been over the past

several years - God Bless him - I couldn't help but notice that he was

taking it a little personal. When we finally overcame this hurdle I

couldn't tell who was happier. ;) Actually, it was probably the

first 'concrete' evidence that LDN is working for me. The only other

symptom improvement I've had so far is more positive outlook and

mental clarity which are both very subjective. It was an 'Ah Hah'

moment in more ways than one - although I've always believed that LDN

was the right choice for me - this was the first time I REALLY

believed that my body was responding. (There are a lot of suttle puns

in here - ;) Anyhow - you're right it's awkward to talk about but if

it gives someone else hope - then we must continue! Good Luck
