Guest guest
Hello, Newbie mom reporting in about my 19-yr-old daughter, diagnosed with RR MS 3 1/2 yrs ago. She had been having problems with her right arm for the past 4 months and showed several new lesions on MRIs, which led her neurologist to start steroid pulses. This made her much worse and led us to abandoning the doctor, the steroids and Copaxone. She has been on LDN for 2 weeks. Prescribed by phone consult with Dr Sullivan; he suggested one month at 1.5, one month at 3.0, and then try 4.5. We got 150 1.5 capsules from Skips for $50. The very first day on LDN (1.5) the pain in her arm went away. The arm is still weak, but with the pain gone, daughter is starting to use it again. No probs with sleep. On two occasions she has complained about stiffness in one leg, but doesn't seem to be too big a deal. I had intended that darling daughter continue her Copaxone, at least every other day, but she has had it with injections. Supplements: Dr Gilhooly's AM/PM Baseline, probiotics, fish oil. Other meds: Yaz (bc) and Singulair (asthma). Maybe later the LDN will allow her to drop the asthma med. My summer plans include trying to encourage DD to examine her diet. Wish us luck. Guest guest
Great news ! Since your daughter got an MRI before starting LDN, would you consider a follow up one later and sharing your results. I will send you a post on the MRI collection request. Thanks Aletha [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN Update 2 weeks Hello,Newbie mom reporting in about my 19-yr-old daughter, diagnosed with RRMS 3 1/2 yrs ago.She had been having problems with her right arm for the past 4 monthsand showed several new lesions on MRIs, which led her neurologist tostart steroid pulses.
