He says he thinks he has an ear infection and what do I have that would help? Because of his health background, I am worried that something natural may not work, or may not work quickly enough ... He comes from a strongly allopathic family, one sister is a pharmacist and her husband is an allopathic doctor. When he was 2 years old, he had a brain tumor. The tumor damaged or destroyed his pituitary gland and his hypothalmis. His mother was told that this also destroyed the functionality of his thyroid gland. So for the past 17 or 18 years, he has taken Cortef because of the loss of his pituitary and Lavoxil for thyroid. He was also given growth hormones for a number of years and takes Depo as a testosterone replacement. In his early teens, he began having seizures so he is now taking Tegratol. I think that his family overreacts to any illness that he has and they hurry him into the hospital, although he does become sick quite easily. And a year or so ago, a case of strep came upon him suddenly and he nearly died. So, having said all that, is there anything that he can take for this ear infection that would be of help? Or should he just get a regular antibiotic, and then, after this is cleared up, get into cleansing, etc.? He is excited about cleansing and about eating a raw food diet. He would like to get off of his meds, but it seems to me that it is a situation in which a balance needs to be maintained between healing and getting off drugs so quickly that it makes him sick. Does this seem likely? I'm just not sure quite how to handle the whole situation. Thanks for any help you can give me, TerriLynne

Unless, of course, he is feeling really lucky. Best would be for him to go on a mucus free diet of all raw fruits and vegetables. Sprouted grains, nuts and seeds. The garlic/mullein oil should help his ear and he should eat raw garlic, take in cayenne and use ginger too. Cleansing and fasting can be done slowly and eventually he will begin to wean himself off the meds naturally. The more he fasts and cleanses the more garbage he will get out of his system and the less medication he will need. But he should switch to an all raw mucus free diet first. After a time of being on that and using lots of juices too then he can begin to cleanse and/or fast. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
