Guest guest
Kim, Check the files as I believe there are some cleaning solutions under household... I would try acv or GSE and water as a spray... give the sick does some garlic cloves and/or some super tonic...once or twice a day (a dropperful)... I have been spending so much time out there trying to help them kick it, disinfecting cages, feeders bottles, nest boxes. Nasty bug. It's got to a couple of my does as well, through the mammary glands. Every time I think I have it likcked, someone starts sneezing again, or gets a yucky eye. What would be the best natural disinfectant for the cages, etc? I have Lavender, Eucalyptus, Vinager. I would prefer something that I don't have to rinse, as I hate to get the rabbitry wet inside and the cages are rather difficult to remove to the out doors to be hosed, but I will take whatever works. I am feeling better, at least as the day goes on. When I first wake up, my eyes are full of crud, and I feel like it has been working it's way down to the lungs. But, after my morning tea, my OoO, and some juice with GSE, I seem to perk up well. The OoO seems to have a decongesting action for me. I am getting a little tired of the Oregano aura I have developed though. I can feel and smell it in/on every inch of my body. I'd rather have a garlic aura. Ah, well, better than being sick, though. I do think I will do a cleanse though. This time of year is so hard for me, I get sucked into the Christmas cookie thing, and all the yummy candies and sugars. I normally don't have a problem avoiding these things, there is just something about Christmas. I am paying for it though, weakened immune system, acne, achy joints. I guess it just serves as a reminder why I don't eat that stuff the rest of the year! Kim God's Blessings Farm

However, if you can get hold of some 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide....I would think this would be your best bet. Would be much better than vinegar and non-toxic, unlike bleach. You also would not need to rinse it. I would dilute it to 10% for cleaning the cages, water bottles, feed dishes etc. You could even dilute it further to 3% and add some to their water daily, 1 ounce per quart of water. Perfectly safe and natural. Don't use over the counter 3% hydrogen peroxide though. Too much garbage in it. Check out this site for more information on hydrogen peroxide. http://www.h2o2-4u.com/ Ah yes, the holiday season complete with immune destroying and suppressing foods and that glass of holiday cheer. How we have been brainwashed into accepting destroying or suppressing our immunity for the sake of a good time. It is the memories that we have all grown up with. Lots of sweets, overcooked mucus forming foods, etc. I am just as guilty of falling victim to this season as the next guy. However, and hopefully, I have overcome this desire and will soon replace those memories with memories of eating raw living foods during this season and keeping my health, well, healthy. I guess I am tired of paying the price for indulgence. Now I am not saying I don't eat sweets. I just make my own with honey or molasses or rapadura sugar. Cuts way down on the negative effects. However, if you are going to indulge then at least take plenty of plant enzymes and don't forget do some cleansing as well. Is it better to smell like Pizza the Hut from Space Ballz or to smell like Gilroy, Ca. Shoot combine em both and they will think you are Sicilian.
