Guest guest
Hello everbody, I am new on this list and are now trying to short out an additional problem wih my wifes RRMS. She started 2days ago with 1.5 mg naltrexone and to day her MD got the result for checking out her thyroid gland. It shows skyhigh values on both T4 and T3. Will LDN also take care of this after some time, or must she be put on some additional threatments as well?? <perole>
Guest guest
I have Graves' Disease (hyperthyroidism). She must treat her hyperthyroidism immediately as well as identify the cause of it. Uncontrolled hyperT puts her at risk for system issues, including cardiological trouble such as a-fibrillation. Autoimmune thyroid diseases are Graves' Disease and Hashimotos Thyroiditis and can be diagnosed by antibody testing and ultrasound studies. A hormone secreting nodule is another possible reason for hyperT. In theory LDN will help erase the antibodies behind AITD, but that will take time. It should not be a sole treatment. Lots of information about AITD and LDN here: http://www.ahsta.com Hope this helps.
