I am convinced that Probiotics are not harmless - and can be harmful to some people ...

My daughter takes NO Probiotics now and feels and looks wonderful thanks to LDN.

For so many years I had treated her with Probiotics, and think now - even made her symtoms worse!

There I learned that it has potential real dangers that could leave people worse off than when they started. Essentially, ThreeLac uses three "bad guy" active constituents that wipe out several strains of candida. The candida goes away alright, but the three "bad guys" in ThreeLac used to fight the "bad guys" of candida do not just go away. Instead, they take up permanent residence in the gut. And there, on their own, they have the capacity to run wild and create even worse problems than the candida did. In a vulnerable gut, or maybe even a normal one, this could have serious implications. It seems that it is unknown when - or if - the bad guys will explode into action, and what that action might lead to, and if it does - how it could be treated. So - I'm beginning to think that LDN by itself is the safest course of action. Your post is very interesting and helps clarify what I have been

experiencing with Probiotics. I take LDN for Irritable Bowel and

other assorted problems related to it. Candida is a complication to

it, or so it is assumed. My compoundng pharmacy suggested I take

probiotics as an alternative to the ThreeLac that my doctor wants me

to take and that I refuse. The probiotics sent my gut into a tizzy -

as they often have in the past. When I stop it, the gut calms down

and proceeds to respond positively to LDN.

Just regarding ThreeLac and why I don't want to take it: before

ordering the product, I decided to do some research on the Internet.

There I learned that it has potential real dangers that could leave

people worse off than when they started. Essentially, ThreeLac uses

three " bad guy " active constituents that wipe out several strains of

candida. The candida goes away alright, but the three " bad guys " in

ThreeLac used to fight the " bad guys " of candida do not just go away.

Instead, they take up permanent residence in the gut. And there, on

their own, they have the capacity to run wild and create even worse

problems than the candida did. In a vulnerable gut, or maybe even a

normal one, this could have serious implications. It seems that it is

unknown when - or if - the bad guys will explode into action, and

what that action might lead to, and if it does - how it could be

treated.

So - I'm beginning to think that LDN by itself is the safest course

of action. At least, that's the path I'm taking at this time.

So glad to hear your experience and to know that I am not the only

one made worse by Probiotics. Thanks for the feedback!
