Guest guest
Armour is a thyroid hormone replacement and 'yes', LDN and Armour can be taken together. You will have to be careful and watch your vitals...ie; blood pressure / heart rate etc. LDN may help your thyroid produce more thyroid hormone on its own and therefore you could end up with TOO much thyroid hormone. Visit www.ahsta.com -- there are several thyroid folk there who are also taking LDN and there is a lot of information there about thyroid autoimmunity. Guest guest
you can take ldn and armour.my wife use both.you have to start with a low dose of 1.5mg ldn.you must watch very good if you do not have to reduce the amount of armour that you take.if you begin to hyper then you must reduce the armour.after you stabelize you can try 3 mg ldn ,but again look very good if you do not have to reduce the armour. > > Does anyone know if these two can be taken together? Guest guest
Yes, I take them both together. I used to take synthroid and LDN too. They can both be taken with LDN> Saundra- -- In low dose naltrexone , " indigoinmotion " <outofthebleu@...> wrote: > > Does anyone know if these two can be taken together? Guest guest
I am on both also, no problem. Some say if you add LDN your thyroid med may need to be adjusted downward but this was not the case for me. > > > > Does anyone know if these two can be taken together? Guest guest
I've been on 4.5 mg LDN since May 11th. My endocrinologist just RAISED my dose of Levoxyl from 100 mcg to 125 mcg. My 3rd Generation TSH was 1.8. I wish I understood thyroid numbers more.... I had trouble with the Kreb's Cycle.... learning it that is in RN program. Guest guest
-I wonder if the worry about going hyper while on LDN is for those that have Hashimotos only?? As those antibodies disappear, the thyroid kicks in and does it's job as it is supposed to, thus lessening (possibly) the need for as much replacement hormone. I know with me, post RAI, I believe the antibodies are going away because it is making me MORE HYPO. The portion of the thyroid left, that is working, is being attacked less by the antibodies. As those leave, that small working portion doesn't have to work in overdrive, or be overactive, thus causing me to go more hypo. This is why I wish I had a doctor overseeing my care, one that understands the antibodies, because I really think this should be looked at so a warning can be put in place for those of us taking LDN that are post RAI.(or post TT or PT)...one that says a prompt INCREASE in replacement hormone may be needed. Just my thoughts though.....lol Saundra -- In low dose naltrexone , " marlaprendergast " <kws11@...> wrote: > > I am on both also, no problem.
