I have been using LDN for more than 1 year now for my Crohns. Untill recently I have had this exhausted feeling, have in periods had the need for more than one nap per day, often one around lunch time and one after dinner. Your daughter needs 4.5mg LDN from a reputable pharmacy, Transdermal

is an option. She also needs to do an anti-candida yeast program for

a good 8 months. Steroids can cause yeast overgrowth. If she has

yeast LDN will likely perform very poorly for her and she may

experience negative symptoms on LDN if she has yeast.

the arthritis though so have been seeking a way to take it. recently

someone post info from dr. McC re gluten casein and soy in diet acting

as opiates and therefore when one takes ldn one feel sick as they woudl

if they took an narcotic on ldn. ie removed those from my diet and will

try ldn again in a few weeks.

Other reasons have been found for LDN not seeming to work. Mis-

diagnosis, some people have found they have lyme disease instead of

MS, RA, CFS, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, ALS, etc.

Dr. McCandless in her work with LDN has seen LDN many times activate

latent viruses and or activate an underlying candida yeast. The

viruses and candida yeast must be dealt with or you will continue to

feel awful.

It should be known that LDN does not necessarily affect any symptoms (not supposed to or expected to) It may not even prevent or delay exacerbations in MS. To say that it doesn't work is IMPOSSIBLE to determine (especially because we don't even know for sure what "to work" means.

For me it is relatively cheap (under $65 for 90 daily (4.5mg capsules). If you take it and it "cures" or "holds off flare ups" fine but you and your doctor should know there is no FDA evidence ('cept maybe for Chrones disease) to support LDN's use). There is lots of "anecdotal" evidence to support its use for MS but to say it "did not work" should not be a surprise.
