That is because this bacteria is a normal part of life for these

animals. It is always in their systems. Cats have the same problem with

it too as do lots of small furry creatures. You would be better using

hydrogen peroxide instead of GSE anyway. Much safer, non-toxic and

totally deadly to any bacteria.
