Guest guest
I know this isn't an earthshattering problem like being w/c bound....but something weird is happening. I have been taking LDN 4.5mg since May 11th and have noticed major IBS improvement. I started at 1.5mg May 3rd. In the last few weeks, I have lost the middle 1/3 of both upper eyelashes. At first, they would grow right back like when you normally loose an eyelash. But, now, I don't think I see anything much but tiny stubs, and I'm not even sure I see that. As I said, I know this is not the great difficulty that many of you with MS suffer....but eyelashes are not only cosmetically desirable - they help keep dust, etc out of one's eyes. Now, I freely admit that losing my previously nice eyelashes isn't fun either, but I have allergies and that makes eyelash loss particularly important. I recall reading that 1 : 7 surveyed on LDN had complained of hair loss - which I'm assuming meant on the head. I do not have glaucoma - that is one cause of this seemingly alopecia aereata. I do have these other diagnoses, now Interstitial Cystitis and the 8 Dwarfs: Interstitial Cystitis Pelvic Floor Dysfunction - which I think is just a part of IC Asthma/Allergies Hypothyroidism (have endo app't soon and that may be the cause too) Restless Leg Syndrome GERD IBS Anyone hear of this side effect on LDN? Janet (disabled RN who does miss her nice eyelashes.....)
Guest guest
the problem with the eyelashes is probably the result of the problem with the thyroid. > > I know this isn't an earthshattering problem like being w/c > bound....but something weird is happening. > > I have been taking LDN 4.5mg since May 11th and have noticed major > IBS improvement. Guest guest
I'm guessing it's thyroid related. Guest guest
, it sounds like MSM is helping a few people with that. Aletha [low dose naltrexone] Re: 6 weeks LDN & weird eyelash loss RedPill where are you? ..
Guest guest
That's funny cause I tried MSM for my MS symptoms before I knew about LDN - about 4 months ago. I went through an entire bottle and didn't notice anything. Maybe my hair is falling out to tell me it wants more !!! I'll have to try it again. > > > > I know this isn't an earthshattering problem like being w/c > > bound....but something weird is happening. > > > > I have been taking LDN 4.5mg since May 11th and have noticed major > > IBS improvement. Guest guest
2 months max Aletha - I didn't notice any benefits from it but then again I was still on Rebif then and I may not have taken the MSM long enough. I'm not going to jump back into just yet though - thanks, > > Oh no , > > Wait a bit on LDN and only try MSM again you feel it is best for you to give it a try again.
