Guest guest
Has anyone tried either accupunture and or chinese herbs to help with ailments/gut/viral issues with their child? If so, can you please share you thoughts? Thanks
Guest guest
I am *very* interested in this. I get acupuncture for myself at times. I asked about getting acupuncture for my son - for his yeast/gut issues. She won't work on kids. But there must be some that do. By Chinese herbs, do you mean Traditional Chinese Medicine? It seems to hold good possibilities. It makes me a bit uncomfortable to have everything written in Chinese, though, and not really know what I would be giving my child. I'm also looking into other herbal therapy. I've successfully used some of Susun Weed's (Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, NY) recommendations for myself. I just ordered her books, and I'm going to make herbal infusions. > > Has anyone tried either accupunture and or chinese herbs to help with > ailments/gut/viral issues with their child? Guest guest
I personally have lots of experience with acupuncture. I think it is remarkable. It helps with sleep, depression, hormones, calming you down, can help with cognitive function. It balances out many things in the body and mind. It supports organ functions. It normalizes electromagnetic fields in the body. I believe it helps general detox, but I don't know about detoxing metals with acupuncture. I've been quite sick for several years, and acupuncture is one of the several therapies that brought me back (also NUCCA chiropractic and Craniosacral therapy). Children (as well as many adults) have needle-phobia. Children tend to be wiggly and don't want to hold still for twenty minute treatments. ...I know the Chinese have been herbalists for thousands of years, but I like to know what I'm taking. And China is one of the most polluted countries in the world, so I'm not in to taking herbs from China at this point. With TCM, the herbs are often taken as teas. This can go on all day with the tea-drinking. There are certain herbs that are well known, tried and work well such as milk thistle, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, grapefruit seed extract, others. Cat's claw and boswellia are two herbs that help with gut problems. There are some great herbs from South America being utilized now, too. I do know of people who use acupuncture and Chinese herbs to hold inflammatory bowel disease at bay. But, it seems to be more long-term maintenance than cure. I'm not saying it isn't helpful, it is. But the protocol that parents here use seems to get very good results, and it's more recovery, rather than maintenance. You might consider craniosacral therapy. It is amazing in what it can accomplish, and no needles! There are many stories of ASD kids who improved greatly with CST. It has helped me. My son with IBD has had significantly less digestive issues since receiving CST. He also loves acupuncture. He's an adult. My nephew who is very handicapped is receiving CST now with promising results. Best wishes. judy -- In , " anjsmomma " <gmperez@...> wrote: > > Has anyone tried either accupunture and or chinese herbs to help with ailments/gut/viral issues with their child? Guest guest
NAET also like an accupanture but without needles. We started it few weeks ago and it's going well, hard to tell about results yet. You can find info on naet.com, our doc using book Say good buy to allergies related autism. Natalia judyl_nev <juude@...> wrote: I personally have lots of experience with acupuncture. Guest guest
Reiki and Pranic healing does the same thing as acupuncture without any needles. It is amazing stuff although sometimes it is unbelievable.... but I have several friends recover from all sorts of things with it. > > > > Has anyone tried either accupunture and or chinese herbs to help > with ailments/gut/viral issues with their child?
