Dana,

Get yourself the homeopathic remedy Ledum Palustre 30c from the health

food store and give 1 pellet every 3 hours for 72 hours (you don't have

to wake her up at night, though). This should help, at least according

to my homeopath.

If in fact the tick had any problems to pass along, the OLE must have

taken care of it, because my #4 never had any problems. This was last

September. But thanks for caring.

A bull's-eye rash only occurs in less than 10% of children and less than

50% of adults. Many rashes are atypical, and if bitten below the waist,

rashes often appear black and blue and thus are thought to be bruises

and not recognized as a rash. Therefore, do NOT look for (or wait for)

a bull's-eye rash as confirmation for Lyme Disease. You should be

looking for clinical signs of the disease--fatigue, fever, joint pain,

flu-like symptoms in the early stages. Late stage disease can manifest

as just about anything you can think of, including autism, since this is

a systemic disease and the spirochete can proliferate in any and all

tissues in the body. The disease is transmitted within 4-6 hours of a

bite (not 24-48) and is in the central nervous system within 12 hours.

This is why early, immediate treatment is critical. And for the woman

from Minnesota who I think said she's pulled tons of ticks off her kids,

please go to www.lymeinducedautism.com for more info.
