Putting vitamin A into your eyes will create visual problems as will putting used motor oil into your eyes. I am quite certain that the Vitamin A they are referring to is Retinol A and not beta carotene. I do not know of any instance where putting any of these herbs or supplements into the eyes directly has any benefit.
