Guest guest
- I had this too a last year. your body is using your sinuses to unload waste it can't get rid of elesewhere, unfortunately its just going down your throat. as you cleanse it could get worse. The first flush should bring some improvement, and rinsing with a neti- pot with sea salt water and perhaps a few drops of tea tree oil will bring temporary relief while your cleansing progresses. eating dairly or other processed foods, including sugar, can make this much worse. hope this helps you. johng > hi, > > i'm currently on a strict diet (initial strict phase of " The Body Ecology > Diet " by Donna Gates) to deal with my candidiasis, and am reading s' > books and plan to do the liver flush etc soon... > > after about 10 days on the diet i'm noticing some subtle improvements in > some areas, but my worst problem, a severe case of post-nasal drip, shows no > signs of improvement. i've had this problem for about 5+ years > > i'm not loooking for a quick-fix, i just want to know that i'm on the right > path. i'd really like to hear from any body who has effectively rid > themselves of chronic post-nasal drip.... any tips etc would be greatly > appreciated! > > thanks > > jason
Guest guest
, For relief from the sinus pain, pressure and post nasal drip I would highly recommend doing a sinus flush. I was reluctant to do this for over a year after my MD recommended it to me. Finally out of desperation I tried it. You will need a Neti Pot and Lomatium (an herbal liquid you can find on line or at a health food store). Here is a link for the Neti Pot. http://www.bytheplanet.com/Products/Yoga/neti/Netipot.htm It even has a video stream that will show you how to do the flush. It looks totally bizarre - which is why I never wanted to try it. I did one once in the morning and once in the evening for two days and have not had one since! Even my husband broke down and tried it (he thinks I'm a wacko for all this alternative shit I do). He too, has not had another sinus infection since. Anything - not to take another antibiotic! I still believe that you need to work on the underlying cause of the sinus infections, and I am working on that still. But, for relief, this has been a gold mine for me. post nasal drip hi, i'm currently on a strict diet (initial strict phase of " The Body Ecology Diet " by Donna Gates) to deal with my candidiasis, and am reading s' books and plan to do the liver flush etc soon... after about 10 days on the diet i'm noticing some subtle improvements in some areas, but my worst problem, a severe case of post-nasal drip, shows no signs of improvement. i've had this problem for about 5+ years i'm not loooking for a quick-fix, i just want to know that i'm on the right path. i'd really like to hear from any body who has effectively rid themselves of chronic post-nasal drip.... any tips etc would be greatly appreciated! thanks jason
Guest guest
I agree, and just posted more information on a sinus rinse that worked for me. For me, before I got the candida under control, when I slipped and did have sugar, I had immediate sinus pain! About the milk, though. I agree you should stay away from dairy products; that is if you are consuming milk that is ultra-pasteurized and/or homogenized. They are completely void of the enzymes that your body requires to digest them. You cannot culture yogurt with ultra-pasteurized milk - nothing will grow in it. That should tell you something - if nothing can grow in it because it has no life force, then how could it nourish you. It does nothing but clog your system. If you have it available, raw milk and milk products are very beneficial! If not, try to find whole organic milk that has only been pasteurized. Organic Valley makes this version, although most stores don't carry it. Request that they do! FYI - ultra-pasteurized milk does NOT need to be refrigerated and will keep that way for four months! Gross huh? For more information concerning milk visit www.realmilk.com - I had this too a last year. your body is using your sinuses to unload waste it can't get rid of elesewhere, unfortunately its just going down your throat. as you cleanse it could get worse. Guest guest
Hi , I have had the same problem for 3 years now. Along with the constant draining of my sinuses I have sinus pressure. I don't eat dairy or sugar, and have tried many anti-fungals, etc... I tried the netti pot with no success. My throat also is always scratchy, probably from the post nasal drip. I have been able to get rid of all of my other problems except for this stubborn sinus problem. My father has the same problems I do, and I had a Dr. tell me that it is genetic and can't be cured. I believe that there is something out there, and will keep trying new things. If you try ANYTHING that works or improves your condition, I would love to hear! Guest guest
This is also the last of my symptoms to leave. I do find that eating sugar/dairy makes it much worse, with added sinus pressure front of face, trouble breathing etc, but avoiding both doesn’t seem to cure it.. I would also like to hear if anyone has any ideas for a solution Re: post nasal drip Hi , I have had the same problem for 3 years now. Guest guest
" can't be cured " ... fire that doctor like I fired mine. Cured via liver flush. fairly simple. g > > hi, > > > > i'm currently on a strict diet (initial strict phase of " The Body > Ecology > > Diet " by Donna Gates) to deal with my candidiasis, and am reading > s' > > books and plan to do the liver flush etc soon... > > > > after about 10 days on the diet i'm noticing some subtle > improvements in > > some areas, but my worst problem, a severe case of post-nasal > drip, shows no > > signs of improvement. i've had this problem for about 5+ years > > > > i'm not loooking for a quick-fix, i just want to know that i'm on > the right > > path. i'd really like to hear from any body who has effectively rid > > themselves of chronic post-nasal drip.... any tips etc would be > greatly > > appreciated! > > > > thanks > > > > jason
Guest guest
hi jennifer, while your symptoms certainly sound aggravating (!), this does not describe post nasal drip. post nasal drip is more of a throat problem -- it's like having a runny nose in the back of your throat. in my case, this is a problem i have without ANY relief. it never improves, not even a 10% improvement, including after using the Netti 2x a day for many months, no dairy diet for 2+ months, etc. i've had it 24 hours a day without exception or remission for 5+ years. i noticed absolutely no improvement after removing dairy from my diet. really hoping somebody who has " cured " a chronic problem with post nasal drip will pipe up and give me some hope! thanks jason on 3/14/04 6:49 AM, candidiasis at candidiasis wrote: > Message: 9 > Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2004 01:30:43 -0800 (PST) > From: " M. Guest guest
Somebody has to help you guys, even if she has a memory impairment ... I used to have post-nasal drip and no longer do -- I just can't remember what made the difference! Maybe it's the powdered Vitamin C. I now take 5g daily in a large bottle of water that I drink throughout the day. Try it and see. Good health to you! > > > Message: 9 > > Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2004 01:30:43 -0800 (PST) > > From: " M. Guest guest
My 9 yo son with autism has had a horrible time with post nasal drip since February. It is making him feel bad. I have tried Claritin, Zyrtec, Bendadryl, Flonase, and Xlear at one time or another with very little relief. Does Methionine help with allergies? He stopped his main stim with Zyrtec, but I hate giving that long term and it didn't stop the post nasal drip. Because he stopped his main stim with Zyrtec makes me think high histamines is a bigger problem than I though. He also has OCD which I know can be from high histamines. Any suggestion on what would help? Thanks

Guest guest
>Does Methionine help with allergies? I don't know about it's effect on allergies, but methionine will increase sulfur level. So, unless he is low sulfur, I don't believe you want to use this. What might be the logic of it's effect on allergies? Guest guest
Methionine helps with high histamines. Histamines is usually a problem when you have allergies. So I was wondering if it would help allergies. > > >Does Methionine help with allergies? > > I don't know about it's effect on allergies, but methionine will increase sulfur level. Guest guest
Thanks Dana, and for you response. He is taking a herb for viruses, but I now think it is probably from yeast. I'm going to increase his yeast protcol and see if it helps.
