Stan kurtz website may be helpful. Seems to be helping lots of the

different neurological diseases. I know adding magnesium helps but I

read recovery stories from tourettes from complete diet changes.

My 13 year old son has TS, it invariably is present with the symptoms of ADHD or

OCD, very rare that one sees ticks alone. Rage is a feature of co-morbidity.

Of course, my son has mercury poisoning, so now I see all these symptoms in a

different way: his system's response to vaccination and the mercury load I gave

him as a birth present unwittingly. On the other hand, my son has flourished

since knowing there is a name for what he does; we've done all the linking with

the TS Foundation in Canada, go to the conferences, etc. Much like anyone with

a health condition, knowing he is not alone has been really positive for him.

And for me. With that said, he knows the link to heavy metal poisoning and is

prepared to start chelation as soon as the dmsa and ala arrives in the

mail...Helen

Does anyone here have any experience with Tourettes? I know someone

who's 6 year old was just diagnosed and would love to point them in the

right direction (groups, treatments).

TIA,

Helen,

I wish you and your son the very best and thank you for this message. I just

talked to the child's father and he's so overwhelmed. I know when I share

stories like yours he will have renewed faith.

You're in my prayers!

I highly recommend the Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA). They are

a very positive and empowering group. They meet every other year in

andria, VA. The meeting this year is April 4 - 6. There are local

chapters. It is designed for kids and families. They bring clinicians

to the national meeting to discuss treatment and cures. There are a

number of successful people with TS who make presentations and mingle

with the participants. These role models give the kids and families

hope for the future. Check out this link . . .

While not an expert on this by no means, has this child been on any

ADD meds? I have known of a few younger kids getting ticks from these

meds. If not..disregard. Other things I have read are related to heavy

metals like copper. A Hair test is a cheap non invasive way of knowing

if this were part of the problem. I would not underestimate

environmental toxins..vaccines, food chemicals...

I know this information is kind of general, but ruling out a heavy

metal problem would be the first step.

My #1 had a few tics. Most of them were eliminated with yeast

control. The rest disappeared with chelation and anti-virals.
