Guest guest
I've found that most tea tree oil that you buy in the HFS's is not as potent as some you can get .. The cheaper brands (I've found) can be used without dilution.. The more expensive ones need to be diluted down in some instances... I have made a fomula of tea tree, lavendar, peppermint and eucalyptus oils in water to use as an inhaler when I used to get sinus congestion... it worked good but was diluted in distilled water..... I have used tea tree on a q tip directly inside the nose... but I usually blot the qtip so there is no excess on the qtip. Suzi PS No it is not normal for his hands to hurt like this. When did this start? WHat had he or has he been doing. I was hoping that would help the itching too.. I'm starting to think it is due to allergies also.. He had thrush when He was a infant but has never had it again.. No changes in his diet that I remember. We ususally pretty much stick to the same kinds of foods.. I haven't tried the tea tree oil yet, I'm glad you told me about diluting it with oil, should I use like olive oil? I'm going to try the humiterfier tonight in His room with the eucalyptus and tea tree oil in the water.. maybe that will help.. So I can use lavender in his nose too?The only thing that I can think of is we planted a garden in august (I know kinda late to start one :-)) He just loves getting out there and playing in the garden planting even tho it can't grow right now.. Not long after that I noticed him being bothered with his nose.. I tell him to stop playing with his nose and He says Mommie it tickles me.. What is strange is sometimes it doesn't bother him but then all of a sudden it starts up again and I've noticed it to be either morning or late evening when it starts up.. go figure! Oh let me ask is it normal for a 5 year old to complain about his hands hurting him in the morning? sometimes He tells me he can't close his hands tight cuz they hurt.. He only complains in the morning.. __________________________________________________

You can add up to ten drops. It would be okay to use it neat (by itself) but essential oils are very concentrated and some people do tend to develop sensitivities to them. I have never heard of anyone developing a sensitivity to tea tree oil but why run the risk. Same goes with lavender. Even though one can use it neat there are folks out there who have become sensitized to the oil and can't use it anymore. If he picked up a fungus or parasite from the soil then it is possible that may be causing the itching in his nose. So a few questions if I may. Is there any sign of rash? Is the itching only internal or external or both? Is he sneezing lots? Does he have a lot of mucus coming from his nose (runny nose)? Is the skin around his nose really dry? I can't say it is normal for a 5 year old to have his hands hurt in the morning. There are many factors that can cause this. One would be how he sleeps. If he sleeps on his arms and cuts off circulation this could cause this. Other than that I really couldn't say without more info. But if it only happens in the AM then this sounds quite possible. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
