Guest guest
From our experiences here, that is caused by allergies especially to stuff you breathe in such as pollens, molds, dust, that kinda thing. hth diane in nw mt ----- Original Message ----- From: Eibhlin health Sent: Saturday, January 15, 2005 9:37 AM Subject: Tickling itchy nose Can anyone tell me what would cause a chlid's nose to tickle and itch the inside of his nose? For a few weeks now my son's nose has been really bothering him.. He keeps scatching or rubbing around it and under it.. When I ask what is the matter He says it tickles inside.. Sounds to me like an allergic reaction. Has he ever had thrush? What does his diet consist of? Anything change with his diet within the last month? Suzi's idea of Tea tree is good but don't overdo it and I would highly suggest you might wish to dilute it first in a little oil. Don't use eucalyptus oil in his nose either. Lavender oil would be very good too. But, something changed and that is what we need to find in order to cure. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Hi Don, I used the antibiotic cream because the doctor once told me to use that when at one time My son had little soars in his nose and it would bleed. I was hoping that would help the itching too.. I'm starting to think it is due to allergies also.. He had thrush when He was a infant but has never had it again.. No changes in his diet that I remember. We ususally pretty much stick to the same kinds of foods.. I haven't tried the tea tree oil yet, I'm glad you told me about diluting it with oil, should I use like olive oil? I'm going to try the humiterfier tonight in His room with the eucalyptus and tea tree oil in the water.. maybe that will help.. So I can use lavender in his nose too? The only thing that I can think of is we planted a garden in august (I know kinda late to start one :-)) He just loves getting out there and playing in the garden planting even tho it can't grow right now.. Not long after that I noticed him being bothered with his nose.. I tell him to stop playing with his nose and He says Mommie it tickles me.. What is strange is sometimes it doesn't bother him but then all of a sudden it starts up again and I've noticed it to be either morning or late evening when it starts up.. go figure! Oh let me ask is it normal for a 5 year old to complain about his hands hurting him in the morning? sometimes He tells me he can't close his hands tight cuz they hurt.. He only complains in the morning.. Shalom, Eibhlin > ====================== > Hi Eib, > > Antibiotic creams don't work on much of anything to be perfectly honest > with you. Guest guest
Here is what my sister had to say on the subject: " I can't solve the child's nose problem, but can definitely state that everytime I go to the dentist's office to have my teeth cleaned, my nose does exactly the same thing (except I don't call it " tickling " )! Everytime the hygienist stops to change a scraping device or something, I wind up rubbing my nose! I don't know if that's caused by stress, or something called a Vargas (verges?) nerve that runs up the face towards the teeth, or ??? It always happens at every dental visit and absolutely, I have to rub my nose! If it is such a nerve, the mother can't stop it in her son because something is going on with him that cleaning, etc., won't cure. Allergies sounds plausible, but somehow I doubt that's his problem. Love, Pat P.S. A dentist who was doing major surgery on my teeth one time mentioned that nerve when I said my nose was bothering me a lot and I had to rub it! I don't recall ever seeing such a nerve shown in Gray's Anatomy book, but I have read references made about such nerves. I don't know if they are also found in other areas of the body, or if it is just found in the face. Apparently, it is quite a vital nerve. It does begin at the neck though and is the tenth of twelve cranial nerves. The Trigeminal is the 5th cranial nerve and is responsible for sensory of the face, mucus membranes and muscles. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Hi Don, Thanks! I tried the olive oil with tea tree oil as you suggested and it has already started helping My son.. I made up a little bottle to use when needed. He says it stinks but is willing to use it.. :-)) Answers to ?'s: He has not rash and the itching is just inside of the nose, no sneezing or runny nose and He has no dry skin around his nose. He does sleep with His hands behind his head a lot, maybe that is what is causing His little hands to hurt.. And yes He does only complain in the mornings.. Thanks for all you help..
