Guest guest
My husband has Stage 4 Transitional Cell Carcinoma We have mentioned LDN to his Dr in the past and she put the paper I copied about it in his file but no response. I did not push it and let him continue Chemo. Now he has had 8 rounds of Chemo and is on a break. If she will not write a prescription..where do I get it? How much to take? How often? Any information I need please. Thanks, Ginger

Guest guest
Hi Josh and Welcome, Being a vegetarian I can't say if this is why your levels are low. I do know a lot of younger men have this problem due to poor diet some of the are into working out and read this crap about % of body fat and eat wrong to get it down so they look more cut. Doing this they end up sick with low testosterone and Adrenal Fatigue. In the files section here at the home page on the left side we have a file of Dr. 's Steroid Pathway.pdf go open it and see how your hormones are made starting from Cholesterol going into Pregnenolone then DHEA, Androstenrdion then Testosterone. What I am saying is you need good Cholesterol to have good hormones. Can you post your labs the Dr. did with the units and ranges Free T being low with out testing Total T is ot a good mesure. Free T is about 1 to 2 % of all the T in your body. It's good your not on TRT you need to find out why your low. As for ED I have found in most men if they don't have a health problem with there penis it's high Estradiol levels do you eat a lot of SOY is so this can also lower your T levels. SOY looks to the brain like it's Estradiol and the brain in men can't tell the diff. between Estradiol and Testosterone so when it sees high levels of Estradiol it thinks it's testosterone and slows down sending the LH and FSH message to your testis to make more Testosterone. SOY has a marker in it that is none working but looks to your brain like it's Estradiol. Men that drink a lot of SOY Milk and eat a lot of it can have this problem from the SOY. Also high levels of Estradiol or the SOY marker will kill your sex life. The first thing that stops is your involuntary nocturnal erections that appear during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. Do you have them if not have your Estradiol levels checked. Anxiety can be from high Levels of Estradiol for me this gives me Panic Attacks in the middle of the night. I see your short on money but this can be a big problem and shorten your life. You need to see a Dr. have testing find out why your low in some men fixing the problem there Testosterone levels come back up on there own. Going on TRT is for life if you can test your Estradiol levels there is a supplement you can take that will lower this. If you eat a lot of SOY stopping this can fix this problem but not over night. In this link are labs I tell men they need there are a lot of them and they all are needed. Some Dr.'s start with the basic ones and add more as they see a treand. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=5 & t=7059 Here is a good link that will teach you about low T in men. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html This link is full of good info. http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=450553 If you can get a copy of the labs this Dr. did and post them. Guest guest
While I am certainly new with this problem myself,......I can tell you for certain that being a vegan is not helping this at all. Your life,......your choices of course, but if you don't even eat fatty fish like salmon, you have very little chance of having normal T levels without supplementing it IMHO. Also most vegans use soy for their main protein source, and I assume you do as well? One of the worst things in the world for a male of ANY age,.....once again IMHO. I don't touch the stuff. Good luck though on your path.
