Guest guest
Ok ,,, if your meat is organic and you don't "BURN it" when you cook it...and you don't eat alot of it.. we'll leave this alone so you don't go nuts all at once...lol... Get rid of the dairy... check the recipe files for substitutes. There are some great recipes for sweets.. Pastas?? Get some sprouted flour and make your own... just cut back on it ... eat some every so often. I'll leave the coffee for now if you'lre only doing 1 a day... You have a juicer... make a batch the nite before and put it into bottles to take with you for the next day. Nuts and grains - soak them and keep them in the fridge to take with you for snacks. Make your own gRAWnola. Dehydrate some banana or apple slices for snacks... (sweets) Spices???? Learn to use your herbs... make your own mixes or get some organic seasonings. sarahlovell@... wrote: Suzi, , Don etc...Well, I WAS vegetarian until recently and began eating meat. I have to say, I've cut down my weight by adding the protein and honestly, i ENJOY the meat now..but still feel guilty. But, as a result of being vegetarian...I love almost all vegetables, cooked and raw. There's very little that I WON'T eat. That being said....my bad foods go like this..I love comfort food. Lots of times I go for things with carbs in them, or cheese, or cream. Something creamy or cheesy is completely what soothes my tired self. I know that I'm placating with food...but we all do that now and again.I get bored VERY easily however. I need a change up. I.E. I can't eat the same thing for lunch every day, but it can't be complicated because a) i'm lazy LOL and I'm ALWAYS consistently in a HURRY to go somewhere. I have both a juicer and a dehydrator. Small, but a dehydrator none the less. I love soups and fruit especially but find that I burn out on foods rather quickly. I also don't really like bland food, need lots of spices and different tastes. Asian foods and pasta dishes are also a bit of comfort food and "bad foods" for me.I also crave sweets an awful lot. I've been trying to not fall into EATING them...and have been keeping little bags and boxes of clementines at my desk to eat when i'm craving "sweet". I DO have coffee everymorning though, without fail I'm not a soda drinker...but find that I have to FORCE myself to drink water. If i'm not thirsty, I don't drink. But when I do...water is my first choice.I hope that helps with my baby step plan. Thanks for the support!!! Anne> > Well, > > I had a bit of an epiphany yesterday. Thanks for the support!!! > > Anne > ============================== Hi , Congrats on your choice. Very slow process? No problem. Take as long as you wish. I do believe the best information I have heard in a long time was given by JA . Thanks JA, wonderful advice for anyone. Eliminate one thing in your diet each month until you are down to only four things, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. Other than that I highly suggest you begin to drink lots and lots of water with fresh squeezed lemon added in. This will help you to begin a slow detox and mucus elimination. Do try to cut down on the processed carbs and meats though. You will find as you detox and clean your body that foods that seemed bland before will how have some awesome flavor. However, store bought, conglomoagchem grown foods will taste barfo or really bland with no flavor. This is one reason why organic is best. Lots of flavor. You will also find your body will seek and settle at its own desired weight. Everyone thinks that you will turn into a skeleton but that is just not true. Your body knows its perfect weight and will only go that far. You never continue to lose and lose weight. Do make yourself lots of fresh juices throughout the day and really consider doing ongoing juice cleanses or even some fasting, if you feel up to it, every month, every other month or whatever. 3 day, 6 day your choice. This will help you out quite a lot. You have already made the biggest change . You chose to do something about your health and well being. This is usually the biggest step for anyone. So my hats off to you girl and congratulations on seeing the need and having the desire to do something about it. Baby steps, just take baby steps and you will find yourself at there soon enough. You should feel proud of yourself for that. It is a big step. Do keep on drinking lots of water. Most of us don't drink enough water. We all walk around half dehydrated and sufferiing from the effects without realizing why. You will find as you start making these little changes and start doing some cleanses that your focus will become more clear and you experience much more certainty in yourself lessening the anxiety. It will take some time but the effort you put towards it will be more than worth it with what you will reap from it. We are here for you if you need us. We will support you all the way. You can do it, anyone can do it. One just needs to make the conscious decision to improve their health. I have no doubt that you will do fine and that you will succeed. Please do keep us posted and let us know how you progress. What issues you stumble across and your wins. The most important thing to realize and keep foremost in your thoughts is that you are doing this for your own well being. Get a really good visual image of most fit, healthiest, happiest Anne you can conjure up in your mind and then keep that visualization foremost in your thoughts daily. This is what you wish to become and then work towards that ideal. Make sure it is your ideal though and not something conjured up out of a magazine or TV. Nobody ever looks like Barbie and maintains excellent health. But you can look and feel excellent with vibrant health, glowing skin, clean clear complexion, extremely focused, loving life and happy with everything in your life. We all create our own realities. All of this takes time but is attainable by anyone. Just don't allow little setbacks to discourage you from continuing on and you will succeed with flying colors. Every step is a step closer to your new ideal. Every step is an obstacle that you have mastered and overcome on your path to total freedom from self imposed restrictions and negativity. Most importantly, laugh Anne, laugh and have fun. Enjoy life and decide that all those things that used to bother you no longer have any power over you. Enjoy life no matter what it throws your way and laugh. Laugh, laugh and laugh some more. Learn to enjoy all things and look for the good in everything. Never stop learning nor seeking the truth for yourself. You have now decided to be the Captain of your own ship and are no longer just the first mate or cabin boy. You go girl and don't ever look back. Always forwards, that is the only way you can go anyhow. Hehehe Peace be with you Anne and we are rooting for ya. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
