It is very hard to determine if this study is simply an attempt by medicare to

cut drug costs

by pretending something doesn't work, or if it was just messed up by using the

wrong

rating instruments.

The key thing to remember is the last thing MD's do - differentiate the

biochemical causes

of various behaviors so you use the right agent - the one size fits all

prescribing based on

the behavior rather than the biochemistry does have some dramatic successes for

the ones

where it happens to be biochemically appropriate, but the overall success rate

is low.
