Tough times on LDN: Please Advise.

VERY LONG SORRY>

All I can say is that Im completely confused at this point. I dont

know which way to turn. LDN WORKED FOR ME!!

I want to Thank ALL of you for posting to this group I have been busy

the last 2 weeks and have not been able to post but I try to read

every message that come across my email.

Heres the Story

-29YO Crohn's patient for 3 years. Bowel resection in Feburary 08.

Steroid dependant 11 weeks later.

Tried SCD, Makers, liquid, every diet. Tried Every med EXCEPT for the

TNF blockers. Prednisone is the only thing that works but I cant seem

to wean below 20mg / day without problems.

The first day I tried LDN it worked wonders overnight. A month later

the 2am wake up calls were gone and I was not dreaming any longer. I

begain to have increased symptons of Crohns and eventually flaired

big time.

Since I felt the LDn was not working I started flagyl 500mg 3x a day

and nystatin swish and swallow 3 times a day. The Flagyl was KILLING

my stomach so I cut it back to twice a day and Im okay with it. I

thought I may have a yeast infection or something?

I have an appointment for my first remicade infusion Tuesday

QUESTIONS>>>>

1. I know the rumor is that LDN cannot be taken while on more than

10mg of Pred. Is there anyone out there who thinks differently and

why? I just had to jump to 60mg of pred due to a SEVERE Flair which

left me in the bed for 48 hours vomiting.

2. How long should LDN be taken before a determination is given if it

works for me or not?

3. Once I start remicade can I continue to take LDN?

4. Why would LDN stop working?
