Guest guest
everyday is a new beginning . Even though you may have joint damage [and i have ] i f you keep ypur bones from deteriating and you may need some kind of surgery then your skeletal system will " hold you up . I am 56 and ihave been on everything and even though I have sufered lots of damage . ihave had 3 hip replacements and other stuff . my bone density is pretty good so the hip surgery was a possiblity and then a reality and I walk very well now whereas I couldn " t walk before . However I have degeneration of my spine and am coencerned about that . With all the new meds I will probably be ablwe to find something to keep me upright or I can walk on all fours . who knows . keep on tryin. Whatever floats your boat.cathy from ma

Guest guest
I am new to the list, I have a few questions for the group. My son has crohns's, he has been on remicade, and 6mp. None of them have helped. He has also been taking Predizone for almost a year. Nothing has really helped. He has just started taking a new med, it is a shot, i can not remember the name. I am interested in comments from anyone that has been taking LDN. My son is 9 years old. We can not convince his doctors in trying LDN. He says that he can not find enough studies done on children to allow us to try LDN. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Guest guest
LDN, works great on Crohns. Take charge and get your son healthy. Study, make a decision and take charge. Guest guest
Use this info when approaching your doctor about LDN, http://www.gazorpa.com/PatientGuide.htmlI followed the recommendations to the letter and it worked. Read all you can and educate yourself completely. Most physicians are scientists and only believe the "double blind studies" but LDN does have FDA approval so go for it. Guest guest
, I am fairly new here and also have a son with Crohn's. We are not using LDN (but would if need be) because he seems to be in remission and is no longer on any medication (we follow the SCDiet and take probiotics, among other supplements). I lurk here to read and learn as much as possible--just in case. I will share with you, though, that if you are in the U.S. and using a pediatric GI for your son, it is my opinion you will not have success EVER getting them to try LDN until all the double-blind, placebo controlled studies are done...years from now. (Again, this is just my opinion. I hope someone comes along to say " my ped. GI was great and willingly wrote the prescription! " ) We asked our ped. GI last October if he would consider LDN and he said no. They are too afraid to step outside the box--even more so because they're dealing with children. I got answers like " it's not an approved protocol " . Their hands are very tied. It is sad. The good news is that you can find someone who will prescribe it for your son with the help of folks here. It may take a bit of doing, but you can succeed! Shoot, I would do it without a doctor if that was my decision. Nevertheless, arm yourself as someone here said, and try your GI. I wish you the best!!!
