Guest guest
Excuse me, there’s no need to be insulting and “shouting,” and furthermore, inaccurate when you do so. I do think before I talk; I rarely do otherwise. I am well aware that Dr. Skip is a compounder in Florida who prescribes LDN all over the US, actually, or at least according to these lists he does, and I have been a member of these lists for more than five years. It was not at all clear that Dr. Skip wrote the e-mail, nor was it clear that the “Dr. Skip” mentioned was THAT Dr. Skip. Have you never read e-mails that seem to be from someone but are not? Furthermore, even if the e-mail is indeed verbatim from THAT “Dr. Skip,” everything else I said stands. I don’t care who wrote the e-mail. I don’t care if my own neuro or my best MS buddy wrote it: I’d want to know who the doctor is, what exactly the doctor has been charged with, and so forth. It was an inflammatory and badly written e-mail. You know, I actually have some belief in LDN, and it is for precisely this reason that I become distressed when people “yell” in all caps and get all gung-ho, deeply suspicious, and allergic to factual detail. It makes those of us who support LDN research look like typical Internet crackpots, and we do our cause no good thereby. Galoux From: NadaSuit@... We need to be rational, CALM, and honest - and probably best to let Dr Skip lead the charge, or at least direct it. Just to add thought, if anyone wants to point to an off-label prescription - the best example is Neurontin - Gabapentin. This is a good example of the FDA looking the other way. The sales reps come in and tell you to prescribe this for all sorts of nerve issues off label, then tell you they will deny ever saying that... <lswillia@...> wrote: Excuse me, there’s no need to be insulting and “shouting,” and furthermore, inaccurate when you do so. Guest guest
I have to agree with Bob. I have Crohn's/Colitis and had a total hysto a year ago. When my psychiatrist (other docs would not Rx klonopin which helps the gut rumblings, I had to go to a shrink for the Rx.) he explained that all of the abdominal nerves travel thru the same neuropath, you can't really tell where the pain is coming from. He gave me an Rx for Gabapentin. It works for the pain, but I call it my " stupid " med, cause when I take it, I say stupid things. I also was not taking it properly. I was taking it as needed. When I did the research, I found that you are supposed to build slowly and wean off. When I told my PC, she laughed. The label said " take as needed " . So I did! Guest guest
If there ever comes a day the use of LDN is banned for multiple sclerosis I can guarantee I will be honest , but I will not be rational and calm. There comes a time when a person must stop just reading the news and start making the news. This is a promise.
